He wants a car that will actually run him around day to day, so 99-04 GT with few basic mods is all he wants right now.

a good condition fox will cost you 6k easy... sadly. The 99-04 gt's are everywhere so they shouldnt be hard to find.

i know this may sound odd or stupid but have you ever considered getting a 67 fastback shell from dynacorn and basically build a classic stang from the wheels up?
