The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Just watched the first episode and it is freakin AWESOME

It could have been the complete disaster I was expecting, but it wasn't. It had the same edge of your seat feeling that the first episode of Heroes had

plus, Summer Glau is HOT

Re: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

its still going to fail.

tv shows from movies = epic fail.

i dont think i can think of one successful tv series that came from a movie (or franchise).

i hear with SCC they butchered the timeline even more than T3 does.

stargate is the lamest excuse for a sci-fi show ever. especially now they are a total ripoff of StarTrek, i mean wtf, i dont remember "site to site transporters", "shields" and large battleships in the original Stargate, wtf is that ****? i think the real reason that show still exists is because StarTrek has died out almost entirely, and those types of fans had to go somewhere, and Stargate writers just catered to their every technobabble whim. i watched an episode with my cousin one day and its just horrid how much they just freaking ripped off from trek stuff, almost sad. IIRC at one time it was almost pulled from the air wasnt it? then all the fans got all crazy at SciFi or whoever had the rights and they made more shows, i think this was like right before they got all star-trekky.

so lets see, thats one successful Movie>TV conversion out of what, 20 maybe?

thats it! im gonna watch BSG:Razor just for your insolence! [/conanobrien nerdvoice]

I thought it was a little bit cheesy. I've seen much worse, though.

It was on after the football game so Sir William and myself watched it and debated it's possibilities for long-term success.

Are you trying to say that Blade was a failure?

Not so fast there young wimpish pup. There have been many successful movies that became successful TV shows. Unfortunately TV today is a complete rag with no imagination only the wiz bang of CGI and totally retarded people willing to destroy their bodies and lose all dignity on reality shows. Gone are the days of really funny sitcoms and now we have reality TV and Jackass crap. Wow I wonder sometimes why I even subscribe to a TV service but I happen to like the Discovery and History channel and I like college football but mostly I like to watch movies on my TV.

So here is a list of Successful TV series that were originally movies

#1 MASH
#2 The Odd Couple
#3 In The Heat of the Night
#4 Facts of Life
#5 Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
#5 Fame
#6 Alien Nation
#7 Buffy the Vampire Slayer
#8 Born Free
#9 La Femme Nikita
#10 Indiana Jones -> Young Indiana Jones

Re: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I think its ok so far. The show completely contradicts what happened in T3 though. I guess the writers figured the movie was so bad, lets pretend like it never happened.
Just hope they dont screw this up as well

Re: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I have to completely agree with danger dude, I haven't really "watched" watched tv in years. just some junk to do when nothing better happens, I don't subscribe to any regular show except maybe good eats, scrubs on occasion, and pinks (when I can stomach the retarded redneck fight that every show has)

sorry for thread jackin this one. BTS
