Well I guess I might start posting a little here and there. I know you all missed your resident ******* . So, is bbunt still an ***? Thomas still worshipping the almight 4G63? I do know brad is now in the V8 world(welcome to it by the way, albeit a tad late) Catch me up here ppl. I can't go back and read everything haha.....

Well, at work they changed up the firewall AGAIN several months, and I can't even visit some education websites because that dam thing is so picky. And they've also upgraded the equivalent of "netnanny" so going to anything other than a .gov website or an air force website is blocked out.... It sucks monkey balls... And another quick recap, oil pump locked up on the notch, I replaced it and the shaft, and less than 24 hours later after that, it locked up the next one. My ONLY guess right now is that i didn't cleanup the pickup tube well enough and it bit me in the ***. Fortunately, when it went out AGAIN at 5500, I caught it when there was still about 10 psi of pressure and killed it. I'm ganna give it another go this weekend, and if that doesn't fix it, then it's got internal problems , i.e. new motor.

Brad, nuh uh, you're a ******, or something...... Anyways, I did see this white V6 mustang tonight with come 03 cobra wheels.... The car really did look familiar, you should update the sig...

Yes Thomas is still a DSM fanboy. He wants to downgrade his Cobra and build a old Eclipse or something. Not really the typical 03 Cobra owner, seeing as modding it to make a lot of HP is one of the main reasons to own the car. :no:

So does this mean a 331? Or maybe that other side project you were working on...

And yeh, I need to get that changed in my sig. Supposedly the IRS is going in this morning...we shall see.

Well, actually was going to fix the car and sell it. Then get started on this 385 series block and a certain 598 stroker kit from CHP, I think it would go great with some fuel injection off of a mid 90's F250, and squeezed into what would be a manly SN95.... In due time I guess.


Nate, keep shooting, you'll hit me at some point. Bunt, thanks for the reply, weak as it may be. It lets me know you care .

yup. or he just realizes modifying a daily driver that he is still financing probably isnt the smartest decision and will likely lead to problems down the road or leave him stranded with no transportation. i love telling people "yeah, its my dd and it makes 450hp" cause then they automatically go "holy ****, i wonder what his weekend car is!" the Cobra is a great driver but im not prepared to dig into her and start messing around with her reliability factor; so far she has been great to me.

i think the only part ive considered downgrading is the throttlebody, 1) because its accucrap, 2) it gets sticky-pedal after going WOT, and 3) its not beneficial/needed with the current setup. if i can make 2-300$ by selling it and going back to the stocker thats fine by me.

when i get the cobra paid off, then it will get modded. which will include two large snails, lots of fuel, and generally not a care in the world for california emissions!

reasons i want another dsm:
its cheap
easy to mod
dont have to rely on it to get to work
can rape/flog it on track days and not have to worry about not getting to work
i still know more about them than the people i know that still drive them!

ive actually considered a fox because the next project will be mostly a track vehicle, but the cheapest foxes around here are 3-4K, for just a decent fox that needs work. well if im going to have to do work on it, then i might as well find another non-running 1g and put a few hundred into it to get it running (like my last 1g, got it for 900$ and put 300$ towards a new head and that was all it needed), and then go from there. not gonna spend 3-4k on something that is a pile that needs work, and after work does its still stock, which a stock 5.0 versus a stock gsx, is pretty much a drivers race.
