| Tried to break in car!
I slept over at my girls house last night. And my car alarm went off at 6 in the morning and when I run out to see what it is no one was there I turn off the alarm and check the car looks fine. When I open the door I realize someone tried to break in and damaged my window. Here are some pics I'm so fricken mad i can punch someone! Is it fixable or do I have to get a new one?

I'm not sure how you would fix that... except with a new window.

You might be able to find one somewhat cheap.

If memory serves correct from replacing my window track (and motor)... it shouldn't be anything too difficult (as I did more in my apartment parking lot). You'll need a drill to drill out rivets, some basic hand tools (ratchet and what not), and a rivet tool.

I work for an autoglass company, if you have full glass coverage your insurance should replace it, it usually depends when it's not the front windshield. If you have any relative experience you should be able to do it yourself, but it may take a lot longer than a shop could, should be under $100 for the glass itself, find out what else you'll need to replace it.
In short I'd give your insurance company a call first then your local autoglass shop to see how much/what you'll need if they don't help call a Ford dealer and ask for the parts department theyre nice people and should hook you up just have your VIN ready( ask for the driver side door window part number if it needs anything like moldings ect.)

You take out the weather stripping and disassemble the door components. Start by removing the speaker cover (it pries off with a screw driver pretty easy), then unbolting it. Unbolt the mirror. The mirror and speaker are now free. Pull the lock pin if you have after market ones (stockers should be ok). Remove the door handle cup. You should be about at the point you can remove the inner door panel. If memory serves, you should now be able to see how the weather stripping on the door is fixed. Roll window half way down (this can be done earlier). Remove window from track (this can be difficult). Put new window in track. I believe I bolted the window back to the track with LocTite. Reassemble.
I may be missing some steps.

Freaking turds out there. Can't make something of themselves so they make things harder on contributing members of society, all because they want free stuff. Sorry to see that.

Try junk yards as well... Www.cat-part.com will tell you what the closest one to you with the glass is

For what it's worth, I could probably do it in an hour or less after re-familiarizing myself with the car. It's not that hard, it's just knowing how it's put together and what not.

| Alright first off I'm sorry to hear this. just get the seal too the weather strip it might be like 109$. Find it at a local collision center or latemodelrestoration.com.
The seal is simple to change. Snaps right in.
