I like em, yeah big & bulky but no front bumper scrape from the shorter ones you usually see. Thanks!

I built a set similar to that years ago.

"Why not just buy some cheap ramps?" Because I was to poor and the scraps of lumber were available and free.

Because you can't get the front end of a lowered car on "cheap ramps" let alone a regular floor jack. It's a simple solution. Also,if the car rolls while you are under it,it will give you some time VS a car rolling down some "cheap ramps" gives me some piece of mind.

I have several 2x12 pieces 12" long I stack and use. They fit in the trunk so I can use them places besides just my house.

It's a PIA to drive up my store bought ramps. These take up too much space and my buddies would be poking fun all the time.

To much space? They aren't that big and I'm sure once your buddies see them in action they will be all on the nut sack. I really like the fact that if the car rolls off them it will come down in stages VS one quick BAM!

I'd have to get mine off the floor because of the winter crudd from the streets. I'd have to hang'em parallel w/floor on the wall or something similar. At 12' long, that would take some space for me. I do like that you have to add nothing to keep your chin from touching the stands.

My friends gimme crap cause I suck at building anything w/wood!

All you have to do is buy it from home depot and they will cut it for you. Then all you have to do is nail it together. They will be impressed.

It may not be a marvel of engineering, but it's a good idea that people tend to not think about when they're tearing the front ends up on store bought ramps.

Amen. One of these days I'll build one. My Dad sells lumber for a living.
