I'm still holding out for it to bottom out a little more. Let the market hit a real slum and hit it running. Fixed rate at the bottom should do.

Re: Prime rate down .75%

im undecided if its a good time to buy a house or not. while the interest rates or low, our economy is very inflated and we are bound for recession.

Re: Prime rate down .75%

actually after some research it seems that the prime rate wont effect home loan rates... if anything they may go up

Re: Prime rate down .75%

What kind of home loan rates are you seeing, Spec? Or have you looked into it, yet?

Re: Prime rate down .75%

Back about a month ago I was quoted 6.35. I got another good faith estimate about two weeks back that was 6.00%. It has came down about .25 since then but... its starting to go back up. I cant lock in a rate just yet (cant before march 27th at the earliest) so hopefully they will come back down. This is only where I am looking, the Alabama average as of today is 5.6X%~ so banks will probably be right around that.
