No it was in the first class they ran in. The shocks are electrically controlled to help transfer the weight and something glitched right off the launch.
That 60 foot time is just a bit slower than the top fuel cars. Well maybe a "bit" to me, probably a lot when you actually try to do it. Say a 0.96 60 foot for a top fuel is decent, so the 1.06 looks close to me.

The car is scary fast to me already. I don't think my jacked up neck could stand the pressure and stuff would be happening probably faster than I could react. I can't imagine what it's going to be like adding another 700 HP to it. He's guessing initial runs on the squeeze in the 4.30 range now.

Yeah I could only imagine the thrill of that roller coaster. A top fuel goes over 100 mph in 1 second. So if he is pulling anywhere near the same 60 ft times he is a fkn beast!!!

I know top fuel feels around the same G's as the space shuttle during take off. So I'd imagine with a similar 60ft he's almost feelin the same retina detaching forces as well. *****!

You know, I'm not sure what he's using. That hasn't came up in the discussions we've had about it and I haven't seen it. I know it is an air shifted trans, but that's about it.

Dream was telling me (I think it was dream) that the top fuel guys don't switch gears, they just slip the clutch. I'm interested in the mechanics of trannys. I'd like to check those out and air shifted trans you talked about too. It's just cool stuff.

they don't switch gears they have somethin like 8 clutches that lock up in progression. They do the burnout with them locked. Then it's something like half track they lock up. That's why alot of time they'll launch good but burn'em up at half track.

---------- Post added at 10:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:06 PM ----------

And when they ”lose” a cylinder you'll see unburnt fuel spewing from the headers. The exhaust psi is so high that loosing a cylider pushes the car left or right!..so it's much more then just driving a straight line!

Yeah, they don't have time to shift.
Without all of the computer aided stuff they have nowadays like the clutches SteveO is talking about, they wouldn't be near as fast. There is just too much going on in too little time.

I'd love to have a straight cut gear, no clutch needed to shift, only to take off, Jericho or G-Force, but damn they are expensive. That and with my neck and shoulder injuries I may have to go to auto anyways, which just totally sucks. I really enjoyed my manual transmissions.
I guess I could go with one of the clutched autos and a fully manual valve body though.

Fuker!..lol
Nah I don't think da maro will see mid 14's...even if it does I haven't taken mine to da track,BUT I do believe my stang is a bit quicker than I expect..?
Lightweight has made a big improvement..I honestly feel I can pull a very low 14..
I am faster than a ralliart mitsubishi
But I learned ralliarts aren't awd but still inline turbo 4cyl.
There quarter is posted.as 14.1

Well stock 350 I believe da maro to be like a friggin 16 second slow ***.. I'd assume da BB is 150-200 heavier?
But has torque to more than make up for that.
This is a low compression engine 8:5.1 so hp is prolly around 280-290 but torque is prolly near 400!!
So she'll pull somethin fierce but most likely blow out da 350 trans dats missin a bolt;/
Stock stall conveter for.now but that will help with da big low end of da 454
