Well I burned up the clutches in my rear end, so i was rocking the one tire fire all day yesterday. Kind of hard to get any traction with one wet tire. not to mention NT555R drag radials officially suck! two other guys in my mustang club just got some as well and none of us could get traction with them. Back to the drawing board haha.

Looks like these things are in my near future:

Slicks on 15"s
Adj Upper control arms
Carbon fiber clutch pack for rear end.

It sucks because i know that with just these small things this thing has enough power to cut a 1.5x 60 ft maybe more. The potential is there I just still haven't got it right :/

I've always heard you need to do a big smokey burnout with those nittos to get them sticky but I don't know that for certain

Sorry to hear about your problems.
Getting down to a 1.5 60 foot time is going to be a chore.
The power is just the front part of the equation.
Getting it to the pavement is a whole nother issue and nobody can really tell you what it will take, as all cars are different. Once you get the tires to stick without bogging the engine, then you have to hope your weight transfer and control arms are up to the task. Just keep chipping away at it though and you will get there. If you are really lucky and everything else works properly, then the tires may just be enough to do that. Good luck.

How much would you let them go for? I am looking for some for a good price.

Well on a stock rear suspension and NO rear sway bar (got ripped off by the previous owner, lol) and just BFF drg radials I could get it to cut a 1.80.

Now it has rear adjustable drag shocks, tubular control arms, and these piece of sh** nittos. So I really think I can do it, just needs a few more things and some adjusting

Now it has tubular control arms

You are close and hopefully that's enough to do the trick.
Try some treatment like the VHT or a different brand on the rear tires/slicks to get them even stickier.

Sorry to hear man! I believe I've heard what 90mustangLX mentioned about long burnouts with the Nittos too. If I remember correctly, you are supposed to get them spinning and when you feel them start to hook, you let up. Anybody confirm that...?

I had heard the thing about long but outs too. But even when I tried one, it was kind of worthless when the d/s tire would just stick a couple seconds in.

But I had a couple other guys trying monster burnouts and short and all kinds of Difft tire pressure and still spinning on way less power then me. Our consensus is that thy suck lol

Sorry, but that won't work. Brent isn't around much anymore and the forums now belong to another person.

He was growing tired of dealing with the forums and wanted to explore some other avenues I believe, but don't hold me to that explanation.

I've never thought of spraying the tires with VHT. That's pretty smart lol

That's from years of experience.
It works especially well on older tires/slicks that may have hardened a bit, helps you get all you can out of them.
