Yelp, because we have so few dishes each night, it may sit a couple of days. Food sitting like that is gross, and can get caked on.

Oh yeah that would be kinda nasty also a good way to attract unwelcome guests.

My parents taught me, because of ants, and now I follow. Rather waste a little water and have no bugs than nit rinse and maybe get bugs, but I'm a more safe than sorry kind of guy.

That's cool! I seem to fill mine up pretty quick so I don't rinse unless it's peanut butter and a few other items that never come off

i do, if you leave chunks of food it will clog up the drain and possibly screw up the impeller...its a good idea...I know weirdos that wash them AND put them in the dishwasher....

mine has a food filter. I had this issue where my dishes were smelling like worms, so I took the whole thing apart (Tim Allen) style trying to uncover the smell. And when all else fails read the owners manuel. It said my problem was rinsing the dishes.

My Grandma and Grandpa are like that they fill the sink with soap and water, dunk, take the washcloth over the plate, and lastly stick it in the dishwasher!
