Why did you buy a V6?

I was reading a thread on an another forum, and i found this question funny!! I`m pretty sure this discusion as beem already talked before... but i`m a bit curious of the anwser of peoples here!!!

For my part, i bought a `04 V6 because because of the price of the gaz.. Gaz price still going up... and it will never gonna be cheap. Also, i was looking for a low millage car for the budget i got (so is was more easy to find a V6), Not for the insurance because i`m 28 and i got 2 cars so the difference between the V6 and the GT was around 100$ per year*.

and you what is your reason?

I bought my 86 3.8 because it was $1000, in really good shape and I can drop a 5.0 in it for less than that. Witch is cheaper than buying a gt.

COLOR!! Definitely the color It having only 9000 miles didn't hurt either! I saw it from the rear didn't pay attention to the exhaust. Looked inside saw it was a manual and l was in luv! It wasn't until l looked at the front that l started to cry! Seriously, l cried. It was a V6! Then l ran to check the exhaust, thinking l was mistaken, nope, l saw a single tip and sat down and cried more.

My bestfriend just stood there, he didnt know what to say, so he sat down with me and waited it out! I had been looking for two months!

I bought my v6 so the wife would have a safe non powered car to drive..i sold my GT for it lol

Btw gas is only a 2ish mpg difference from an 04 GT and 04 v6 . I love the sixxer though its a great cornering car.

Not sure about the mpg... my ex-wife got an 05 GT and i do at less 150km (i don`t know in miles) more than the GT on a gaz tank... and she drive with a egg under the gaz pedal... and not on my V6... so there were a big difference!

Lol maybe because of the year difference...plus i was comparing a 2v 4.6 to a sixxer...you compared a 3v to a sixxer. Come summer though ill be hunting another GT and i plan to give her the v6, but until then im loading it with goodies

Ya the old V8 Montes were never known to be fast!.. My '96 Monte Z34 could beat them!.. Lol. It wasn't the fastest but it still was a ton of fun to drive!..

Well my story is a little different. I wasn't really after a V6 or V8 (bonus points for the V8, or V6 PP, and the icing on the cake Black on Black).

I was really after an 05, or newer Mustang convertible for $18,000, or less, it had to have leather, be a convertible, and preferably a 5 speed.

Here I am today with a Red Fire metallic, 2006 V6 Pony Package, and automatic transmission.

Don't get me started! The 3.7 is a beast mated with the 6mt and some exhaust work.

My cobra is cheaper than my wife's gt for exact same coverage from the same company. Went from 79/month to 105/month when I sold my v6 and bought the cobra. Now that i'm married and "more experienced" it's under 75/month on the cobra. Gt is still over 90/month

I would imagine mine would probably be a little more of a jump considering I am a 22 year old male driver. At least my record is clean now. (Knock on wood)

most buy them because they dont believe they need the power, its not worth the gas milage, they dont know the difference, or they dont care~ who knows

I had one as my first car and wanted a V8 etc etc but couldnt afford it. I finally got one (3rd Mustang). Now I have a V6 as my work DD

It was definitely worth it for me. Didn't get much of a drop at 25 though. Wife also doesn't have the best driving record due to a heavy right foot and v8 mustang

Nice! Smart thinking.
Do you own or rent a home/condo/apt?
(not trying to be nosey, but if you do you can probably change things up to save more)
