Gov. Bob Riley says he wants more information on a bill that would give U.S. Rep. Bud Cramer a state pension of $111,000 a year when the Huntsville Democrat turns 70.
Cramer, 60, who announced his retirement in March, also will get a federal pension in the range of $60,000 a year for his 18 years in Congress when he turns 62. He is a former district attorney who just missed qualifying for state retirement compensation when he left for Congress in 1990.
So basically Bud Cramer will get almost 170,000 a year to do nothing.... for 18 years of being a politician... and getting elected by us.
