Santa and your kids

Hey everyone. I have a question for everyone. Truthful answers please.
How old were you when you learned the truth about Santa?
Were you sad?
Were you angry that you were lied to by your parents?
My wife wants to tell our 4 year old son the truth!
I am totally against it!
She says when she found out the truth she was pissed at her parents for lying to her all that time.
When I found out I wasn't mad at my parents I was sad that he didn't exist. But I came to understand the tradition and meaning.

He's 4 ... Let him have as long as he can to be a kid and believe in Santa

I was probably 8 or 9 and I wasn't mad bc I always had suspensions ..To me I am glad the didnt tell me until I asked because it gave me something to believe in ... How I found out was the kids at school. They already knew he wasn't real.

My son is 9-1/2 and he still believes. We are waiting for him to bring it up first. I think it will be soon from kids at school. So many of the kids have older siblings, ya know.

I was 13 I think, when it was confirmed. My parents and I never have talked about it. It is just a fun thing. DO NOT let your wife ruin it for your son! It is so magical for them. It would just be devastating to find out at that age, it would have been for me. He would be pissed now, just let it run its course until he finds out else where. I hate to say it but your wife sounds a little bit like a _____ for wanting to do that. Sorry but this kinda stuff just really gets under my skin.

I say don't tell him. He is only 4 so give him some time to believe in Santa. Also before you do tell him lookup the how the mythology behind Santa actually started. There is some truth to.

I found out about Santa on the New Year's in the 4th Grade, first day back to school.. first thing in the morning.. By the end of the day I figured out it made sense and I wasn't upset at all. Needless to say we made reindeer food and left cookies out for santa on Chistmas eve
