68 mustang overhaul

Hi guys, I'm Donny from Toronto Canada. People call me "the blacksmith" cause metal is my best friend. Up here 67/68 fastback's are super rare to come by and when I found mine I had a vision and I'll see it to the end. This car is going to be Eleanor's evil twisted sister, "leanor".
Heres my build...

So I've installed a TCI front suspension, a heidts rear 4 link with pan hard bar, I also reinforced the inner rockers with 3/8" metal plating for high horse power. This baby ain't gonna twist! Motor is next but it's cold here in Canada so it's going to have to wait till spring. I haven't bought a motor yet. I deffinetly want a carbureted motor, but the hunt is still on. The shock towers are no longer an issue, so big block power is a possibility! Can't wait till spring!

Actually the 88 302 motors had more power compared to the earlier years. 225 Hp and 300 ft lbs of torque. 300 Hp is easily achievable just with direct bolt ons.

Very true. Foxbody 5.0's still use a crossplane styled crank so you still have the old school sound and they are very cheap. For about 2800 I got my 91 gt block to about 320-350 hp with simple bolt ons. All you need is a cam, set of heads, intake mani. (All must work together for best output), and exhaust. I went one step further and added in power forged pistons.

That's AWSOME. I plan on doing the same. Think I might build a 347 stroker

347 make awesome power, but I heard they work best N/A. Could be wrong. As much as I love my 5.0, I'd take a 427 cobra block in a heartbeat. Can't go wrong with them. They around 5-6k. Heck for that price, I could buy a brand new coyote 5.0. Oh the possibilities...
