Obama/Clinton 08?

What do you guys think about that ticket? Think Clinton will hurt or help Obama? Seems to be the big push now.

Then I hope she doesn't get it. I think Clinton supporters are insane enough to spite Obama if he doesn't pick her.

Re: Obama/Clinton 08?

no, because it will be their way to get her into office. If she goes as #2, then she will take over if he gets knocked off....or, when his 8 years are up...whichever comes first. They will be all over that ticket....and the press will push it so hard being a black man and a woman ticket...they will eat that **** up big time....and any challengers will get burried in the frackus.

i think that they might realize that if they join forces, they have a very good shot at getting elected. otherwise, its a crapshoot.

I'm scared to see what will happen to this country if those two are pushed together. Seperate we had a chance to keep either out of office, together, I dunno.

God I hope to hell Hitlery and Osama dont run together and get elected. Hell give me Kerry or Gore over those two doofballs anyday of the week and twice on sunday. Kerry will spend his whole term figuring out which socks to wear as not to ruin his approval ratings for voters who like black socks as opposed to those who prefer the casual blue, and Gore, while we will all be driving Prius' by the end of a term, at least we will still have a country to drive a Prius in. Obama/Hitlery? Man, Viva la Revolucion!

Why would we have to go in again? We shouldn't have went in this time. There was no urgency to star a war with Iraq. They were not close to threatening us, contrary to what Bush and Congress led us to believe.

How about the next time some idiot gets control of a country in the Middle East we not worry about him, not spend 10 Billion dollars a month trying to fix their country and spend 10 Billion dollars a month in our own country, building new Nuclear Power Plants and taking care of our own country so when the next Hurricane hits a city it doesn't render it useless for a year.

I see you are all concerned about setting examples, yet you don't have a problem with the example the United States sets on how to handle problems with countries that aren't a direct threat to us. Preemptive war is such a great example to set to the Middle East!

Quote:
Is that a country you want to live in?
I want to live in a country that isn't afraid to say it made a mistake. Isn't afraid of changing something that doesn't work.

Really?
Yes Thomas.

You keep making posts on here in regards to this and all I can hear is the sound of your fists hitting your chest. We aren't invincible. We don't have a right to tell other countries what government they should have. We don't have a right to kill close to a million innocent civilians in Iraq because their country had a terrible person as a Dictator. We don't have a right to send 4,000 American troops to their death for a needless war. I'm not going to sit here and beat my chest with my fists and try to make it out like America is flawless and this war was needed. I'm going to do something that should be done constantly and I'm going to not just call foul on a party I disagree with (The Democrats) but a party I used to support (Republicans). They have failed us these last 8 years. Bush has failed us. The Republican majority that we elected to Congress has failed us (Hence why they aren't the majority anymore).

I'm not going to ignore the problems and play the patriotic card anymore. So you can keep at it Thomas. You can keep thinking that this is acceptable. Not me. Not while I pay 15k a year in taxes to the Government. Not while I'm funding this crap. Sorry, it's not going to happen.

Quote:
God I hope to hell Hitlery and Osama dont run together and get elected.
That's ignorance right there. I can't stand that. Grow up. It's Hillary and Obama. He's not a Muslim. She's not Hitler. I don't support either of them but I'm sick of Redneck/Patriotic Sean Hannity/Rush Limbaugh asshats running around yelling this. Stop being the problem and start being the solution. You keep playing this damn party line and it's stupid. Republicans aren't saints. They can be just as bad as Democrats and they have been these last 8 years.

Quote:
Hell give me Kerry or Gore over those two doofballs anyday of the week and twice on sunday.
I'm going to say this and mean it. I'll take Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama, Al Gore or John Kerry over George Bush. Any day. I'm tired of the crap the Republican party has spewed. I'm sick to my stomach at how badly George Bush as turned this country south. This 'needed' war that turned out to be one of the greatest screw up next to Vietnam. No security risk. No need. I'm sick of seeing American companies building overseas.

You can sit here and ***** and cry about how many George Bush haters there are and claim that there is some kind of liberal conspiracy against him but all this is coming from someone who used to fight tooth and nail for the guy. Someone that's not afraid to say he screwed up when he voted for Bush. Just because you say one thing in the past does not mean you are stuck with it for eternity. That's one thing that kills me about those that say "Well I support Bush cause he doesn't change his mind. He doesn't listen to polls." Well that's a fine trait IF HE IS RIGHT ALL THE TIME. But he isn't and he refuses to change his policies because he is a party line candidate. He would rather fail miserably and keep failing than to give the Democrats any sort of chance of being right.

Thomas, I think we will just have to call it a draw here. I'm not buying into your arguments and obviously you aren't buying into mine. So I'm just going to have to buy you a Sam Adams Summer Ale when I make it out to California (if it isn't an Island by then) and then continue this **** in person.

Re: Obama/Clinton 08?

Hmm, I think it will show the Dem. party is united if that's the super ticket. I think it's BAD in a lot of ways, but I don't think Obama can beat McCain w/out Hillary running as V.P. He had a lot problems in trying to win over the working class and she won in a lot of the states he did poorly in. There are obviously a lot of divisions. If Hillary doesn't get on the ticket, I do think a lot of her supporters will vote for McCain. There was soooo much negativity and arguing back and forth, I'm glad it's almost over personally.

It would be funny in a way though, I do not see Bill and Obama getting along in the white house. Kinda scary though. I don't know what's going to happen. I agree with Rob that if Hillary is on the super ticket and they win, she has a huge chance of being elected president later after Obama is out of office.

Together, I think they can definitely win. Obama alone, I don't think he can beat McCain.

Re: Obama/Clinton 08?

its hard walking the fine line to staying out of other countries business and doing what is right for the world and for us.... its not easy~ and mistakes will happen... some didnt have to but they still will take place. I would hate to know I had to make those decisions. Regardless if we are 100% isolationists or 100% up in other peoples business its not going to work.

1) he's a socialist/communist
2) he wants to increase government spending
3) he wants to increase taxes to pay for said spending
4) he wants to bow down to the muslims
5) he wants to take wealth from the wealthy and give it to the lazy/poor/frauds

If that's not enough reason to vote against Obama, I question your mental competence.

Should throw your vote behind either Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin. Chuck Baldwin might get my vote when it's all said and done.

On one had, you have a giant ****** bag. On the other, you have a nice, wet, nutty, sloppy **** sandwich.

Then you have the 3rd parties playing the role of appetizers or garnishes.

I believe I am more of an American by not voting for someone I don't want in office than forcing myself to vote for either.

Vote for who you want. There are quite a few different parties contrary to what the media reports on.
