guess what i saw today

So im driving along today and see the new challenger, looked pretty sexy. but i didnt think they hit the showroom floors untill september so how did this guy get one so soon?

They're out, I keep bugging the local dodge place here about them. They tried to show off a new viper the other day....ppl said mine felt faster lol.

They got a couple of them at the dealer, here, not too long ago. I still haven't seen one in the wild, yet.

All the magazines said the would be released in the spring. 2008 1/2 as it were.

First release is only srt with the auto. Next model year will see more options as well as the 6 speed from the viper.

According to the April 08 issue of Hot Rod Magazine

The (6.1L) Hemi is coupled with the usual W5A580 five-speed Auto-Stick gearbox, built at Chrysler's Kokomo, Indiana, transmission facility... Word is that for the '09 model year, the latest Tremec TR6000 six-speed manual box, same unit used in the '08 Viper, will be an option. A 5.7L Hemi V-8, a 3.5L V-6, and four-speed automatic and five-speed manual transmissions reportedly will be available for 2009 as well.
