For a combination gift for valentines day/ mother's day, I purchased row 8 tickets to a concert for kenny chesney, eli young band, eric church, and kacey Musgraves. This concert is on may 11th. That is why it is a combo mothers day present. However, may 11th also happens to be my prom. It is hosted at the gaylord hotel which is an EXTREMELY elegant hotel. Which should I go to?!

That makes it a tough call as you only have one of each.. More details? Did you go last year? Already have a date?

Didnt go last year, its senior only. Dont have a date yet, but could easily get one because there are 2 girls im always around, one that really likes me, and a few im interested in. Im not really the kind of guy that likes having a gf, but rather having alot of "fun".

Pick one for prom send the other with mom lol it's win win and you'll have set yourself up for more 'fun' for a later date.. Get it? Oh, and plus mom is happy too..

Good idea but... mom doesnt know my friends xD

But she does have a bf that she has been dating for 4 years. He knows that I bought the tickets and knows how expensive they were which may push him to the edge of an engagement ring which she has been waiting on.

So what if I go to prom, and basically have paid for their date. Plus then she wouldnt be home till like 3 or 4 and my prom ends at 12, so... home alone And maybe I can persuade my mom into buying me the boots I want for when I go to country clubs and bars!

Lol,
i was thinking the same thing lol...

but in all seriousness prom can be fun...over 5 years ago the girl i took to prom is now my wife (call that our first date)...heck i didn't even plan to have taken her...my date had to back out 2 days prior so i asked a coworker (my now wife) that had graduated the prior year if she wanted to go. lets just say you never know what you'll miss out on if you don't go. had i decided not to go maybe things would have still worked out to the point we'd of dated, and led to where we are now, but then again it may have never been

I'm actually going to the Gaylord convention center this weekend for a military thing! In Maryland right? Anyways go to prom honestly almost didn't go to my own.. Everyone who doesn't go regrets it... Once in a lifetime experience that you will remember forever.. Mom could easily find someone to take her and won't be offended! Have fun!

Your prom will never happen again. You can likely see all artists at the concert multiple times at other shows.

I would have rather had my nuts stepped on than go to prom. Complete waste of time, money, and energy.

Never went to my dances.. Wasn't really a big deal.

Honestly looking back on it(if I was in your shoes)
Concert with your mom all day! Way more enjoyable.

Just me but whatever you decide, do enjoy!

Ok.. Tough call but go to the concert if you don't have a steady girl friend 6 years later you won't remember it anyway! I had a bad experience my Sr. Year took a beautiful girl my Junior year.

---------- Post added at 10:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:49 AM ----------

I asked her my senior year she said, no she would go with friends.
