Haha I wouldn't consider Story of the Year as death metal, but I am a fan of As I Lay Dying I used to listen to a lotta screamo, not as much as I used to.

What's everyone take on SOD? I honestly can say I like every song or anything with Serj.
As far as System of a Down is concerned, I do have a soft spot for them, yet I wouldn't consider them to be death metal. In my opinion, they're becoming more and more mainstream now I miss their Chop Suey days. But my most favorite songs from them was the ones that they released BEFORE they really got famous.

Has anyone heard of their song, Soil? Have a listen; it's a true head-banger

I'm usually listening to the exhaust in the Mustang but I have Liquid metal on all day long on the Sirius in my work truck. That helps wake me up at 5am.

Not Death Metal but, ever since I discovered the record Songs For The Incurable Heart by Stemm, I can't stop listening to it.

I'm actually not a huge fan of Fear Factory :p Are they more like Industrial metal? Because Sybreed is my #1 favorite Industrial metal band, and some of their songs do include death metal

Yes far more industrial.. As with most music I lean towards the content of the lyrics then the actual music

Then you should definitely listen to this whenever you have time: Sybreed's song, Posthuman Manifesto. I floor my stang every time I listen to it

ELUVEITIE - Inis Mona - YouTube

I love how melodic it is
Bands like Eluveitie is more like Folk Metal. It's like........if heavy metal existed in Lord of the Rings, then that would be it LOL! Personally, that style of metal isn't my preference, but perhaps others on this thread think otherwise

It was the first album that I heard from them. My favorites are Back Burner and Composure. Goes great with my sub.

There's this band called Drive. They're more Screamo, but they did create a metal version of the song, Breathe, by The Prodigy. Did a good job.
