Foreign visitor from the Toyota Tundra forum. I just wanted to chime in since I love Metal. I used to listen to what everyone here listens to. Favorite bands are Protest the Hero, Children of Bodom, August Burns Red and most importantly Between the Buried and Me.

BTBAM is simply EPIC. Their songs have everything you would love in a song. Growls, Melodic riffs and solos, unreal technicality, slow parts, fast parts, sick head banging breakdowns. They're perfect for long drives since they're average song length is 8 to 10 minutes. Their best album is Colors everything else is a close second. Their latest album, The Parallax II: Future Sequence is breath taking. I've listened to it a hundred times since it came out in November. The best thing about them is how they make their one hour albums sound like a single song with the unnoticeable transactions between each song. I floor my 12 second Tundra every time I hear "The Primer". If there is one Band I would recommend it would be BTBAM.

Here is few of my favorites:

Rose Funeral is probably my favorite. I actually have their signed drum head they played most of their shows with.

Between the Buried and Me certainly has a lot going on in their music A lot of metal nowadays sound more like noise than actual songs, so it's always good to know there are still bands out there with lots of color in their songs. That's why melodic death metal has always been--and forever will be--my favorite genre.

By the way, I recommend you check out the band, Scar Symmetry, when you get the chance Death metal from Sweden.

Haha! I actually have a couple songs from Dope! One of them is their cover for the song, You Spin me Round. They make some pretty catchy stuff.

Agonist (alissa white-gluz is on par with angela but she also has a good clean voice)
Oh, wow, Alissa is definitely up there with the other femme screamers. Pretty awesome how she can switch back between that, and such an angelic voice!

This band is called Exist Trace, an all-girl melodic death metal band from Japan. The vocalist, Jyou, screams and sings as well

Yup, I got respect for Arch Enemy's front woman as well Lots of good female screamers out there, each with her own different style!

But in the end, Sweden's Christian Alvastam is my top favorite screamer of all time. Hands down!

true that. loads of respect to the women of metal. I haven't looked into All That Remains, but I do remember (I think) they had a female bassist at once?

I'll have to look into that. I think the bassist of All That Remains is a chick named Jeanne Sagan, but then again, I'm relying on Wikipedia for this one lol! I like their song, Two Weeks. It's super catchy

By the way, nothing to do with a female vocalist, but have you heard of the band, Breach the Void? They got a lotta potential

If yall want something heavy check out Love and Death. They got Head from Korn and they got an old school Korn feel to their music.
Here's one of their songs "Chemicals"
