Cops

Got pulled over last night for running a red light! Honest mistake. It was for a left turn and usually when the lights to go straight turn green, so do the turn lane lights do too. Luckily no one was coming but now I have to go to the judges office by feb 13 with a citation. Oh and the cop only told me that the citation meant that I have to visit the judge by a certain date and didnt say anything about a fine

Honest mistakes have consequences. No idea why the topic title is "Cops."

Even if you have no fine, you'll probably still have to pay some court costs.

that's what a traffic citation is, what you are being told is that you have to go to court to answer for a traffic violation, the judge will hear your story then the cops story then make his decision on what the fine and points on license will be if he deems your guilty of the infraction been there done that. just like a speeding ticket at least that's how it works in the state I live in each state has thier own ways of doing things but it has basicly been the same everywhere I've lived

Go plead guilty and ask to do community service or ask to go to a driving/safety school, if available in your state. That will keep the ticket off your driving record and more importantly, your insurance will go up.
