I certainly can't say "No" to a GT500. But I dunno, I've always had a soft spot for the vettes. They have their own appeal, and the stangs have another kind of appeal. Both beautiful in different ways. I don't like comparing the two.

I like it is supposed to weigh just around 3000 pounds cause the C6 was like 3100- low 3200s

Well, you know.... If someone was to make me choose between the two, I'd pick the new GT500 for the horsepower, of course In the end, the stangs are the best bang for your buck, especially the V8s.

I love Mustangs but the GT500 is just over rated. It follows the same old templet of an unrefined chassis and suspension with massive power stuffed up front, much of which it can't actually "use". I suppose European sports car and super car manufactures must have no idea what they are doing and should just follow Ford's design.....right. Not to mention, Ford must have truly been duped with all the European refinements being incorporated into the 2015 Mustang. From looking at and reading about the new C7, Chevy clearly got the memo and now Ford needs to catch up. And for the record I'm rooting for Ford and hope they do. I'll be the first one in line to shake their hand.

+1000 ford definitely needs to wake up and realize horsepower isn't exactly the only thing to look at lol. I for one would definitely buy a European sports car if it had the same price tag as the gt500

The C6 ZR1 made about 638 horsepower, thats top notch FI vs FI. The GT500 makes 30 more horsepower, but which is lighter (a hell of a lot lighter)... You take a Shelby GT500 against the new suspension and weight/ weight distribution of the new Vette (doesn't even need to be a Z06) to any circuit course and you may be thinking differently. The GT500 is an awesome car, but come on we all know its not the best.

0-60:
'13 GT500 =3.6
'13 ZR1 = 3.3

1/4:
'13 GT500 =11.5
'13 ZR1 =11.1

The Z06 even does better track wise than the ZR1.

Don't make this think that i hate GT500s, i love them. I can just appreciate good cars even if they are not Ford.

For the same price as the current GT500 you could easily pick up a mid to late 2000s BMW M3 which I would personally jump on in a heart beat.

That i do agree with, I have noticed how the Mustang does have a lot of power now, and it is definetly not something to mess with. It just doesn't have the suspension that other cars nowadays do. But then again, its muscle and is meant for power.

yeah I think ford has leaned on their fan base for support. there's a lot of guys (and girls) that stick with the mustang just because it is the epitome of American muscle.

I'd probably settle for an Aston Martin DBS or new Ferrari F12 myself.

Ah, that's true! I almost forgot about the Huayra! (How exactly is that pronounced? Because I've heard many failed attempts....)

Of course, I love the GT500, too! But at the same time, I'm open-minded to other cars as well. I'd like to own a vette at least once in my life, (probably a Z06,) but as you can see, I'm starting with the Mustang, and plan to keep it for a while Sometimes you just have a natural soft spot for certain cars. No logic behind it.

Oh, whoops! When you said "dream" car, I assumed you meant a car that you'll never own. If you want me to be a little more realistic, I think I'd be happy with the GTR.

Koenigseggs are gorgeous, gorgeous cars Good job, Sweden
