Where the Sixxers

Where's all the six lovers at? Here's a good question.... Are you proud of your sixxer when you pull up next to a 5.0?

I raced my buddies 4.6 2v today, he only beat me by a car length so I'm very proud of my 6er. I have a 5speed, 180rwhp; compared to his 260hp auto. Once I get the dual exhaust, different tune, and the 4.2 heads back from the shop I'm thinking I could keep up.

You bet ya I be proud. The better question is WHY WOULDN'T WE BE PROUD WHEN PULLING UP NEXT TO A 5.0.

lol what's with these GT owners not being able to drive lately. don't get me wrong i love v6's i've had two...but i know that if a GT has a decent driver you'll see tails by the beginning of their second gear on tq difference alone. It takes a fair amount of work to make our cars compete with even a 2v in stock trim. I guess anything can happen when it's just buddies having fun, but don't expect that kinda outcome against an ok driver at a track

He has the 4.6 2v but it might be because its an auto, not really sure why he can't drive haha I do have a posi, 3.73 gears lightweight flywheel, tune, 60mm cai, bigger throttle body, lighter overdrive pully, rear seat delete, p/p heads, and stageII clutch kit... Basicly 2k worth of mods compared to his stock car.

honestly the gearing with that is the only thing i can think of...i never had a modded sixxer touch my heels back when i had a 2v...now if it was built like Davids i'd be scared lol he'd be a fight as is. tell your buddy to swap gears and he'll be back in front until enjoy the wins. take him to the track btw get slip to remind him of it

Don't get me wrong 5.0's are killer but I still love my 11 V6. I take pride in how clean it looks and the condition of the body. And even though its no 5.0 I still love to mod it. It still looks very similar to the 5.0 and its sexy too.

Just because us v6 owners don't own a V8 doesn't mean we don't take pride in our ride. Today's v6 mustang isn't what it was 10 years ago or even 3 years ago.

I could care less what they think of my car. Now if I could find a 25 year old hot blonde, who will pay for my car, paint it pink with black stripes.

Im proud of mine... parents bought it for me. once I graduate college though I'll never own anything with 6 cylinders. not enough play. plus I'm not looking for gas mileage. I do understand some people say, "well they have enough power for me". if that's the case you'd be suited better with a genesis coupe. I love my mustang, don't get me wrong. I just feel that if I were to personally buy a car, it would undoubtedly be a V8

I'm not gonna give him any advantage over me lol not until I get a good turbo set up, but if he does anything to his engine I'm f***ed haha and yeah David definitely knows his stuff so I don't doubt his 6er is built right. I wanna have my car do at least 12s, that's a pretty mean street legal car. If I had to guess, I'm probably at mid 14s right now if my 1 car behind a gt

Just a little hint, on a stock cam ported heads are worth a max of 15hp probably less, especially on a sixxer, that would be with a ton of port..

My buddy has a geared full bolt on PI gt (he claims some type of head work was done by previous owner don't know about that) but on my old Hpp tune with a few errors in it I could hold dead even 60-120 and we both ran very close times at the track, my 12.25 to his 12.22 I think it was, it's always fun to play with them of course, he's the only gt I've ever been close to lol usually other I just walk away from

I'm happy with my sixxer and it's about to get even better :evilgrin

To have 180whp I'm assuming you have a splitport swap in the older SN?

Ha my neighbor has a roush mustang and every time he has people over they seem to be checking out my 5.0 fox more frequently. I personally love his roush but my 5.0 gets just as much looks (I think) lol people walking down my street always say dam that's sick multiple times because all the nice classics and cars my neighbors have on my street if we open all our garages it's like a car show lol but back to the question my 5.0 never has been pulled up by anything an made it feel any less proud of its self guy in a r8 yesterday was giving me compliments Lol good feeling when my car is 5% of what his cost lol

I get asked to sell my car every time I go to the gas station. I love my foxbody, it's not going anywhere.
