Huntsville Alabama Air Show Possible Causalities

I was standing in a gas station buying a few cokes and a paramedic was in front of me talking about a bunch of tents collapsing at the Huntsville Air Show. He said that there were many 'causalities' though the news is not reporting on any right now, just injuries.

That's what you get for going into a tent without a tent hat.

The girlfriend and Sir William were both there. Seperately, as far as I know :pnoid: .

I was going to go... but I ended up trying to sleep away a hangover, instead.

Haha, I knew you would be useless today. And I'd keep my eye on them... The Will is sneaky...

on a side note, there are entirely too many corvette owner's in Huntsville...It must be the corvette capital of the world...Must be too many "middle-age" government engineers in one place...(no offense markuz)

some tents pack some pretty huge poles too, if it's one of those massive tents.

Re: Huntsville Alabama Air Show Possible Causalities

Yea I saw a generator killed the kid just thought I'd throw this into the mix.

Just a few weeks ago I was catering a party with my dad and all the sudden we started getting these huge wind gusts. Well you know the portable canopy's with the metal legs, kinda unfold like an umbrella? Well one ended up lifting and blowing across the lot towards this dude looking the other way. He never saw it coming this tent pole hit him hard in the back of the head and the guy just collapsed. Knocked out cold and stayed out for a minute or two. He came around and the medics showed up to make sure he checked out, which he did minus a pretty nasty cut the was bleeding profusely. He got hit right at the base of the skull, VERY vulnerable area.

I read this post and thought of those tents flipping, they can get some force behind them and Im sure if it hits a soft spot on your body it'd impale you like a shishkabob.
