Work hard, get a job, buy a car that is yours. It will mean more to you and the hard work will make you enjoy and appreciate it all the more. Turn the negative of not having it into a positive of working hard for one

I have a job but it would definitely take a while to get the money to buy one.

Your only 16, pretty sure you won't be scarred for life. Sounds more like a family squabble. So grandma needs a more dependable car, like one that will be under warranty and not require so much maintenance.

So go out and get a part time job and bank some money.

You know what I would do is grab the keys to the car and drive away with it haha. But as what you said your situation sound doubtful to be fixed and I'm sorry to hear about it. Btw why doesn't your gmom have a car in the first place?

I have a job and I'm 18. And I know I won't be scarred for life, I'm not saying I will be. But I am upset. But yes I do know there are worse things going on. I came on here to talk about the car part of the situation considering this is a Mustang forum and I'm losing my Mustang.

She had one but never drives so it ended up in my hands, and then traded it for the Stang.

Look at it this way. Theres always something bigger and better out there to look forward too. The great thing about mustangs is they are CHEAP. Nobody can argue the fact. You can buy a great looking car for a really good price. My last V6 was starting to go down the toilet on me, so i started saving most of my cash towards a car fund. Took me about 5 months working 35-39 hours a week at minimum wage to pick up my new to me GT. It's always really hard letting go of a mustang, hell, i teared up when i sold my v6. But it's just possibly the first step towards something else. Sorry about the mustang though. It's a nice looking car you've got there. And on a side note, during winter a ton of mustang owners are looking to trade their stang for a truck. So ask around if any one wants trades. Good luck to ya' and don't be a stranger. It's a mustang Enthusiast forum, not just a mustang owners forum.

Payback's a biotch grandma...ha ha...Im totally kidding of course. I drove crap cars for years but these days, as long as you have decent credit, you can get a nice ride with little down. I didnt get this for far too long (and things have changed over the years). Boost your credit, if needed, save a $1000, trade in the truck and get yourself something nice. In the meantime, do everything you want/need done with a truck. (Moving, offroad, hauling, etc) And hey, at least you got to drive a stang at 18 for awhile, more than many can say.

That was a really cool thing to do for her! Sara - you have a "large" Mustang family here and even if you end up being Stang-less for a while, stay on the forum, keep us all posted and plot and scheme for your next one - with YOUR name on the title! Good luck

Family problems are the worse, and to loose you baby over it, is heart wrenching! Sorry for your loss.
With some determination you will have a new stang of your own before you know it.

Good luck, and stick around.
