Hot Rod Taunting!

Does this happen often to you Stang owners?

Valentines night, my wife and I were heading home in the '02 GT when a classic Mustang driver and his wife stopped next to us at a Stop light. The guy raced his good sounding engine and smiled real big! My wife and I just laughed.

Today, on the Interstate, a Camry driver pulled up next to me and gave me the 'let's race' wave while his wife was asleep in the car. I just smiled and waved back as I slowed for my exit.

I'm a first time Stang owner of about 6 weeks. I have a nice looking and great sounding daily driver. Does this cool 'brotherhood' taunting stuff happen often to you?

I think I'll change my car tag to: 172MPH. Not that I've done that, but, this 50 year old old guy would get some crazy looks.

So many times it ridiculous, especially from people who don't own a fast car... Hahaha my wife thinks I'm crazy, she says that I have this "everybody is out to challenge me attitude" and I can admit my eyes perk up when I see a vette, camaro, charger, or anything that isn't a mustang or hell even another mustang lol ... But if a stang owner needed to get off the freeway in bad traffic I would pause for the cause and let them pass me. I love talkin mustangs with everybody on here, but I saw you on the road I'm like the Black Mamba... "Never racing" kids

Last month a Honda S2K challenged me at a light with a rev. I pointed to my daughter in the back seat and said maybe done other time. Stupid ricers.

Yes I have only had my Shelby for a little over a month and it is not supposed to go in the cold and snow, but I didn't have anything else to drive for a few weeks. People would start to pass on the highway then slow down to give me a thumbs up and just go on or dart in front of me and slow down to a point I have to either pass or put up with it.

Whoa! A classic nice-sounding primer-painted El Camino pasted me last night. He stopped at a light to turn left. I stopped behind him.

He raced to the next stoplight swaying all over the curvy street. I stopped behind him, again. The light turned green, not an 'arrow' green, just a green light.

The guy turned left in front of oncoming traffic! The guy must have been checking his mirror rather than watching the road. If the oncoming car had not slowed, he would have caused an accident and totaled two cars. Whoa! My wife almost had an instant panic attack.
