If your engine reved that high and stuck there sounds like your idle control valve

I think the floormat got pushed under the accelerator or something. I pulled it out, and it hasn't done it since. My first though was my throttle was stuck open. But over the coming days i'll see how it acts. Scared the crap out of me though.

getting ready to cut my chin spoiler to install my license plate holder. I have the hidden motorized version from AM. The only place I can see to install it is dead center and then cut a grove in the lower spoiler about 2 inch's wide and 8 inch's toward the radiator. This will protect the plate not lower my front end any more and I think will look the best. So now what do you think?

Scares me too I mounted mine with a flat piece of 1/8" aluminum 3"x8" I put a bend on it drilled holes and mounted a plate bracket to it. Then I screwed it to the underside of the bumper hiding the screws then no marring of my bumper fascia and the plate seems to just float on it.

Don't be scared I can buy a new center piece if I screw this one up. I figure it would help protect the plate and not lower the front any. When I get back from San Fran next Sunday I will pull it and start to cutting. I will take pictures to show you the carnage.

It will be off the car on a bench. I will mark it with white caulk then take it off make sure it is supported really well then grab a die grinder with cut off wheel and slice it. I have a plastic welder so I will burnish the edge to make it look cleaner along the cut lines. If I think about it I might do a write up for AM. Should be sweet I think
