This is the fith ****ing time I've tried to ****ing post this **** and I'm getting pretty ****ing posed at this damn fourm app right about now....

---------- Post added at 06:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:21 PM ----------

I have an emergency question. I have a CAI and the ram air hood on my car. The ram air hood vents directly ontop of my air filter. It's raining like hell outside and I think it's VERY possible that water will run through the ram air and just dump right ontop of my CAI... Should I stay put...

I've been sitting at a gas station for an hour ...

Does your ram air have big holes or does it have like a mesh and filter? If they are small holes, with some kind of filtration it should be fine. If they are just big open holes, it would be different. I would think they would have thought about it in the design. It should take more than a little rain enough to soak the filter and pull it into the intake.

If your not going far. It should be fine.

---------- Post added at 07:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:27 PM ----------

I had my 97 suck water twice. It was rough but didn't hurt anything. I know about the internals and all and what it does but it was fine.

Big open hole there's no filter or anything.

The ram air is not ment to be used with a CAI. It's supposed to connect to the stock air box through a grate/filter thing.

I'm so done with this damn hood I want it gone!!! Ill seriously trade someone for a stock red hood

Well, from everything I've read on forced airs, there is so much more going across the MAF, that stock may not be able to handle it. Not sure about it tho. I don't have forced induction. I would if your hood would fit lol! But it'd be worth lookin at. I think u might see good gains from a tune for forced air.

I will trade my moms hood for your hood. Its not red but hearing how much cash you're dropping lately you could get it painted pretty easy! Think about it!

Thanks. The meet will be quite timely. The new GT will have been in my control for about a week or so by then. I'll be the old guy with a red "Retired Marine" ballcap. I'm really looking forward to meeting the Mustang Evolution crowd.

Feel better Schmitt! Nothing worse than burning a Saturday recooping.

As for me, today's project is to get this ****ing layer of dirt off my car. It's from storage and it won't come up from just blasting with water. Gotta scrub it off.
