O'Reillys has both the aerosol and squeeze bottle recharger kits for around $12. Instructions are included and fairly easy. Below is what I remember. It's not word-for-word with K&N, but close enough to get the job done. OK Schmitty, you're on your own...

1. Lightly tap the filter to remove loose dirt particles, if any.

2. Spray the bottomside of the flat filter or inside of the cone filter with K&N Cleaner.

3. Spray the topside of the flat filter or outside of the cone filter with K&N Cleaner.

4. Allow the cleaner to work for a couple of minutes. Scrub filter in the direction of the pleats with a soft bristled brush, paying close attention not to damage the pleats or filter material. Do not allow filter to dry out prior to rinsing.

5. After scrubbing is complete, rinse it with low pressure tap water. Repeat cleaning procedure, if necessary.

6. Once filter is clean, shake it to remove excess water and let it naturally air dry. (Not recommended but, dry with low pressure compressed air if you wish. Be careful not to damage the filter pleats or filter material.)

7. Once filter is dry, recharge it by applying K&N Oil on the topside of the flat filter or outside of the cone filter, in the direction of the pleats only. Let stand for a few minutes to allow th filter material to absorb the oil. If not fully recharged, reapply oil to any dry areas before re-installing the filter back on your Pony.

8. I do not guarantee these instructions to mirror K&N's advertised cleaning procedures. Yet, this is the way I've cleaned K&N filters in the past and I didn't screw anything up or damage a filter. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I'll try to give you adequate advice. But again, I do not guarantee these instructions to be those of K&N or anyone else I know.

You don't want that it is dirty. Have him wash it up for ya first. Looks like my first truck except mine was only two years old at the time not 34 years old.

I think that is a great idea. Put our user name and real name on one piece of paper on our cars.

I've seen painted calipers but it seems like a lot of work ? Don't you have to remove them from the car and than bleed the brakes and all that?

I wonder if you could brush paint them without having to remove them?
