Here I am aboard the USS Guadalcanal (LPH-7) and assigned to the Deck Crew. I hated hooking and unhooking tie-down chains all day.

Then there's my favorite aircraft, the Douglas A-4M Skyhawk II.

But, I couldn't post this without showing the aircraft I hated the most... McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier. It was a pig.

Me too. The Super Cobra of today is a sweet ride. I like 'em even more than the old "J" model.

Thanks Steve. Even now (20 years later), I still kick myself for not photo capturing my military service and the things I've seen. While I'm posting this, here's something that was rarely seen. A Sikorsky CH-53D transporting a dead Boeing Vertol CH-46F.

Hey Hoss my fav plane has to be the F-86 love the lines, I've been a flight nut since conception. My Grandpa and Uncle were Navy Grandpa on a gun at Pearl, my Unc was Medevac in Nam and I was on a 155mm SP Howitzer as AG in the 80s. My Unc in Louisiana is a master modeler has his work in museums all over the world in the Blue Angels Museum in Pensacola and a bunch of others we got lots in common no wonder we talked so much at the meet!

Thank You for your service, Bro. You sure come from a long line of vets. My paternal Grandpa served in WWI and Dad in WWII/Korea. Had an uncle that served 30 years in the Army. Mom's family was non-military pogues. Although I was never allowed to see combat or be deployed into a combat area, I served ashore and afloat from '74 to '94. Would have stayed longer but, HQMC was eyeballing me for recruiting duty and I wanted no part of that. All I ever wanted to be was an aircraft mechanic. I got that wish and was assigned to maintain the AH-1J Cobra, A-4E/A-4M/TA-4F/TA-4J/ Skyhawk, CH-53D Sea Stallion, CH-46E/F Sea Knight and the AV-8B Harrier. Spent my last 6 years as a Quality Assurance Division Chief. Promotions were slow, I had 7 years in-grade as a Gunnery Sergeant, so I said, "Piss on it, I'm history."

The F-86 was indeed a great aircraft. It's black and white and poor quality but, here's a funny video you have to watch.

I promised yall a video and here it is. Mainly just idling and a quick rev...didn't want to piss off my neighbors. Cell phone recorded decent audio but the picture is awful. I'll try to get some drive bys this weekend before I can get some high quality stuff with a go pro.

I've had the Corsa sport on my 2011 gt for more than 2 years. Love them... Just wish I'd had gotten the extremes. These are reserved at warm idle. But the giggle pedal and cold startups are worth every penny.

Unique sound.

That's a beautiful ride. That a 67 or 68? I'd take it just the way it sits.

Depends on what it is for how much it's worth.

It's definitely got potential and a 65 fastback is pretty rare. I would buy it for under $3k but it wouldn't be out of the question to ask $5k+
