That's what I was thinking. 89 f 250 4x4. 138xxx miles, 5 speed. Everything works good mechanically, ac needs recharged. $1600.
It is the 302 though, can't find any six cylinders.

That 302 is a good engine and easy to rebuild. As long as it is running strong a rebuild will wait till next spring.

Sweet deal. I got it guys! Needs some tlc. Got it for $1200. Got some questions though, it stutters every now and then on the highway going 65, thoughts? Also when I got home there was a good sized oil puddle underneath, causes? Keep in mind this was a farm truck and not ran that much. Guy says this is the most it has been driven in six months.

I do a full tune up, oil, oil filter gas filter air filter spark plugs and wires. Find the leak and hopefully its only leakin around a valve cover or oil pan somethin easy. I'd say the studderin is the wires or plugs

Don't forget to clean the TB also. If it has been a farm truck then it most likely has not run at high speeds in awhile. Put some good gas in her and run it out for a bit also. Have fun with it

Sweet truck Travis. That looks like oil. May be the rear seal.

I would do a full tune up too.

They make a black light leak finder. Put it in, let it run, shine the black light, it shows u where the leak is. Like $5 at advanced.

Sounds good. I'm going to change the oil, filters, and do a good look around the truck tomorrow. I'll look for that black light stuff as well. Thanks guys. Taking it to a shop after so they can tell me what all needs fixed. It's pretty ghetto. I have to start it with pliers. The key won't start it. Something is screwed up in the steering column.

U can't get the whole column at pull apart for almost nothing. U can always buy a key switch cheap. It won't take much hopefully to get her ready. Good thing about a 302 is there are a gazillion of them and they are dirt cheap! U honestly did really good on the price. You will have her on the road in no time.

Nice.

So I've never changed spark plugs or the wires before...never again. Haha. My hands are numb from the awkward angles getting into that F250. Now it won't start, haha. Stupid battery died for some reason.

Thanks dude. I've always wanted to work on cars. Never have really besides changing the oil on my old stang.

Fixed the battery issue. Sanded down the terminals, where the negative grounds to and it's connections. Then I tightened the negative terminal connector (which is a pos) until it broke. Haha. I was like whatever it's loose I'll just jump start it. I went to just try to start it and it started. Lolz. Still gotta get a new terminal connector though.
