It's a transmission mount insert that fills in the holes in the factory mount.

It definitely helped. It didn't fix the 7500 shifts 100% on the track but if definitely helped. On the street it worked 100% of the time but that may be due to loss of traction. On the strip my first 1-2 locked out but never again. Traction was terrible at the track today. If I was getting traction it may had locked me out of 2nd again but as far as the track day went the insert did help. It's not a 100% fix but it definitely didn't hurt.

So bottom line it's worth $30?

I didn't want a substance that sticks to anything. The R-11 seems to work fine and masks some of the noise. A friend is going to get me a scrap of aircraft insulation blanket. I'll try that and see if it's any better. Weather won't affect anything I'm doing. I'm just filling the space under the console panel around the shfter.

Glad to hear the insert helped you. This winter, I'm going to do a little more experimenting. This time with engine mounts. There are some out there that are firmer and allow less flex. If they don't work, I can at least let everyone know to keep their OEM mount setup.

Hoss I've got a little bit of dynamat if you want to use that. Its a 5x10 sheet...not huge but it should fit in there under the console

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think I'll need it. Let me try the aircraft insulation (soundproofing) first. I think it will work fine. If not, I can get a piece of dynamat from a local body shop friend.

Glad you're on the road. You're headed toward some of the country I spent a lot of driving time in. I moved rental box trucks all over LA, AR, MS and TX. I'm sure you'll enjoy the trip.

So far, I'm considering the Prothane mounts. They look to be the sturdiest I've seen. I need to do a search and see if there are others on the market.

Does anyone know how you find out how many of your car was produced that year and what number it was? I wanna know how many 2013 DIB GT/CS with the comfort package and 3.55s were produced and what number of production mine was. I know there's a website where you can buy a certificate for like $50, but there's gotta be a free way to find out

Dang that looks sweet. But the SC version costs about 24K as an aftermarket add on. The base package without the SC is 12k, still needs to be shipped the Shelby American.
