Well I use and swear by these products. I use the Body Shine on my rims and as I said before brake dust is almost none issue. If it does build up on the rim I just hit it with a hose while I am washing it and it takes the dust right away. If I get to a cruise or show I use a microfiber towel and the body shine to take it off and shine them up.

Is the body shine like a wax or more of a cleaner? How often would I need to do this?

If it isn't completely obvious by now I've never really had a real nice set of wheels to take care of. So this is new to me. So if it sounds like I'm coming off like a complete idiot I probably am hahaha but I'd rather shut up and learn than act like I know what I'm doing.

I've used Turtle Wax Ice for years. Initially, I wanted a colored wax that could be used on unpainted ABS plastics as well. Ice leaves no white residue. My '07 GT was Performance White. Therefore, a colored wax was a necessity to ensure complete coverage. No complaints with Ice paste or liquid, so far. But, I DO prefer the liquid, as paste wax gets contaminated in the can from dirty application pads.

A product I like is Diamond Clearcoat. I want to get a rim for experimental spraying and testing. When that stuff cures, it is as hard as nails. Scratching it is nearly impossible. I found that out when I had my gloss black rear decklid panel painted red. The body shop had a very difficult time in properly sanding the surface so paint would stick to it. They also had to use an etching primer to guarantee the paint stuck.

After seeing the '15, I'm no less happy that I bought a '14.

I don't think the 2015 looks all that bad, I'm not real happy about it... But I'm sure it will grow on me. Looks a whole lot like an Aston Martin to me

My opinion will change once they release performance data, options, packages, colors, pricing and other stuff like that. So far the interior is gorgeous minus the 25 buttons on the steering wheel. Not a fan of seeing the Taurus/fusion headlights again. Don't like the hood scoops/heat extractors. The fog lights and grille are spot on. Love the recessed doors and the side splitters. Only good part about the rear end is the roof line going into the trunk...a small tribute for the late 60s fastbacks. The wheels are actually nice but they kept those crappy pirellis. IRS will be really nice too.

Sounds like I may go the jax wax route. I may throw a coat on before I get the tires mounted. Any tips, tricks or special techniques to apply this stuff or is it just like a normal wax?

Wait a sec if you use their Super Blue on a rag it really is easy to clean off plastic also it keeps the plastic clean and shedding water

I'll just solely be waxing the wheels this round. The full fledged car wax won't come around til spring

I use just about the full line of their products. The wax you show to do the entire car once a month. The thing I like about their wax I can do it in the full sun and it dries and comes off really easy. My driveway is in the full sun most of the day.

The Super Blue to clean the black plastic they seem to put everywhere on cars now a days. I also spray the wheel wells with this stuff to keep them clean. It makes it repel water and keeps it protected from fading from the sun.

Shine All to do the interior and under the hood.

I just got some of the Hawaiian Wax to try it next time I was it.

The Body shine I use when I get to car shows and cruise inns to take the finger prints off and any road stuff that gets on it from driving it. I spray it on and wipe it off with a microfiber towel pretty easy.

It is pretty easy to do. When I do my rims I spray the wax on the Microfiber towel instead of the rim. This way I don't have over spray on my tires and stuff. If the rims are not on the car yet by all means do the entire rim when they are on the car it is a pain to get to the back side of the rim. Also to do the entire car with Jax Wax regular wax takes about 45 minutes to complete from washing to a finished wax job even in 40 deg weather.

Getting snowed is not really that mine has been snowed on a few times Now getting it covered in wet road salt is really really bad.

Tell me about it. It snowed like .0001 inch the other day here in KC and they covered the roads in salt. She needs a bath real bad but it's been in the low 20's here for the past week.

Snow plows here are running with blades up and spreading that worthless salt and pea gravel mix all over our streets. Guess I'll have to remind my Public Works Director that pea gravel does nothing other than pack tire treads with projectiles.

Last time I was in MN (on I-80), I drove through freezing rain, that turned into sleet, that turned into thundersnow. Spooky, to say the least.

The bolts of lightning shooting through the extremely low and solid black cloud cover was the scary part.
