Guys, I am buying my ring and pinion gears on Friday for my rear end. I am a little torn between the 3.73 and the 4.10.

What are you guys running, and are you happy with them.

I think I want the 3.73 to keep good gas mileage. Most of my driving is done on the highway and I drive my Stang a ton during the spring, summer, and early fall.

Any opinions welcome.

PS I have been in other threads about this as well, but I kinda trust your opinions too.

To be honest that is the way I am leaning right now. It is just that I only plan on doing this once. I want to be happy with what I choose.

I have the Ford Racing Trak Lok Posi differential 31 spline, and will be buying the Moser 31 spline axles soon too.

There is a guy on here that has great specs on the RPM's you run in different gears at different speeds, and American Muscle has the same. That is really what I am basing my decisions on.

I got 22-24 on hway with 4.10s on my 04. Which is a lot better than what I get with my 3.55s in my 11. Lol.

I have 3:93s and it's the perfect mix between the 4:10s and 3:73. First and second are the perfect length and I run about 2k at 65mph

Anyone know anything about USA Standard gears. AM has a set of 3.90 for $20 off right now which is $10 cheaper than the Ford Racing 3.73. I just haven't heard of them.

It wasn't about the money really. Ford Racing doesn't have 3.90 at AM. Fox was talking about his 3.93 and his RPM rangw.

I pm'd Shane from AM to ask of their experience with USA's gears. We will see. If I am unsure I think I am leaning toward the 3.73 Ford Racing.

4.10's won't hurt your mileage THAT bad and you can easily max out the speedo
