I fit has been sitting for a few months like mine, you might just have a few flat spots on the rubber. Take her out and warm up the rubber. If not wheel balance then look for steering components. If you have access to a lift or not get the front end off the ground and look for movement in any of the ball joints tie rods etc. My bet is flat spots or wheel weights.

I'm sure you guys are right. Hopefully it's a quick, cheap, and easy fix. Definitely the cheapest thing will be to balance. But check pressure and see if you see anything.

No flat spots took the wheels off and threw the stock ones on over winter I'll get it up in the air and hopefully it's just the weights on the wheels fell off

Sorry I've been away for a while. ****'s gotten pretty thick lately and I'm trying to thin it out.

Travis those garage banners look awesome. When are you gonna get your suspension goodies installed?

Schmitty I'd check the balance of the wheels first, then have the shop actually check the wheel itself in case theres some deformity, dent or bend in it. Something as simple as remounting the tire to the wheel might do the trick too (worked for me when I had a similar issue). Also, that sucks about the bent frame in your truck. Hopefully you can open a can of whoop a$$ on someone.

Steve, I know how you like fox bodies, man I'd sure like to have this guy.

Supercharged 1989 Mustang GT Convertible

or how about this guy

Oh dang, that second fox is a beaut.

As for my suspension parts, my impact and sockets will be here tomorrow. I just need to find a shop that knows how to align everything once I'm done. Also, I need to figure out a time to do it, not having a backup car (besides my wife's) while I'm working on the suspension means I have to do it all in one sitting.

Yeah I'd love to have that 460. As much as I wanna racecar again I'm waiting til I'm 100% debt free. Damn student loans.

You could also do it in phases. Lcas and panhard. I'd leave a whole day for the uca. And then a separate day for springs and shocks and struts. You can do pinion angle by yourself. There's a great YouTube video on setting it on a mustang. Feel free to ask Kelly aiken at bmr if you have any concerns installing stuff

Yeah, I'll have to check that vid out. I'd have to realign everything again after I put the shocks/struts/springs on right?

Yup. That's really the only thing you'll need an alignment for. You can adjust pinion angle and the panhard yourself.

I'm going to have to figure out how to have the car in the air without a lift though. I can put ramps on the back tires, but not sure what to put under the fronts.

Jack stands Travis. But once you get it up and get jack stands under it, get it as high as you need it and then place the jack under it too for extra support. You can get them pretty cheap or I'm sure somebody close has some you can borrow. Just be safe under it if you are doing it alone.

You won't need to get the front terribly high since all you have up there is springs struts and cc plates.

Travis you should do one side at a time. That way if you run into any problems like um where does this go you have another side to look at and figure it out. Put it on jack stands if there is a Harbor Freight near by they always have them on sale. Any time you work on a car you will need them, the 3 ton will do just fine.

I'm talking about when I put the uca on the car. When you adjust it al four tires need to be load bearing. This is why idk what to do with the front tires.

Well Now I understand.. Use a 4x4 or 2x6 and pile them up under the tires. I would jack up the car place x amount of 2x or 4x under each tire, then lower it down on them. Cinder blocks would work also.

Haha, this was the easy part. Getting the front two on cinder blocks with the back two on the ramps will be the difficult part.

Well, next I plan on putting the relocation brackets on since I complete forgot to when I was putting the LCA's in. After that I plan on putting the uca on.

Get together date set!

Anyone located in the Clarksville, TN/ Hopkinsville, KY/ Fort Campbell area?
We received some fliers about some cars and coffee events in our area and just wanted to know if anyone lives in this area...
And maybe meet up at some of the shows...

Adventure till you drop

Yeah I've contact everyone I go to shows with and most gave me the go. Others need to see what their schedule looks like, I've contacted the owner of the viper that was at my shop a couple of weeks ago, he might come. Which I'd be surprised if you came, being you're three hours away...
