Yep, will only take them 10+ mins if they even show up. I own a gun for a reason.

We live in a country where the pizza gets to your house before any paramedic/firefighter/police officer gets there. And the pizza is guaranteed or your money back.

Mmmmm food...

If the 911 call didn't come from a fellow officer or someone with money, they will take their time

Emt is pretty fast and fire dept is too, but police? Takes literally a hour and a half to finally show up after you call and sometimes you have to call again to " remind them "

Ya'll live in some crappy areas then. The two times i've called my local pd with non emergency calls they were at my house within 5 minutes.

They also patrol my neighborhood on a regular basis and I know most officers by name. Had a few stop to check out the cars.

I give officers no reason to dislike me so respect is mutual.

Where I live in, if you don't "know" someone, no one cares. I've only called the PD once and that was when my house was broken into. It still took them a while to get here. Officer was friendly though

In my area, I really hope if I'm injured or dying, the ambulance better be driving faster than the 10mph I see it going all the time.

They drive like their site-seeing...

I just had to call 911 last week for a vehicle accident they said someone was on there way and 10 minutes later a sheriff pulled up. I told him what happened and everything. Turns out he just happened to be driving by he didn't know anything about the 911 call. Guess they hasn't put it out yet. Which is crazy to me because the individual who crash was an elderly man who had a stroke while driving. Everything turned out ok thou.

Yeah the worst part was when the city police showed up the ambulance and fire department was already there and the first thing he did was argue with the sheriff about who was gonna take the call. I guess none of them wanted to do the paperwork so in front if me they are saying you take it it's yours. I just told them why don't you just flip for it. After that they just started the paperwork. I think they realized they were being unprofessional.

Was leaving to go to the flea market at 3am to help my grandfather on Sunday morning. He needed someone else to drive a second truck so I said I would. We got about a block away when he forgot the papers to get in, and he said he'll walk back and get them. After a few minutes of sitting in the street he came back and we took off. About 5 minutes later there was only one other car on the main street, a cop. As soon as we passed him, he made an immediate u turn and I knew he was going to pull us over. He just passed me then cut me off to get behind my grandfather. All of a sudden he lit the lights along with 4 other cop cars that came out of no where! Nearly **** my pants. Just glad they didn't draw guns. Apparently we were reported for a home burglary. Some of the coolest cops I've met. Never asked for my license either. They just said good luck an make some money! They actually apologized for pulling us over.

Haha I'd have **** my pants too with that many cops out of nowhere. The funny part is they sent so many cops after you guys that the real criminals could have been doing 100+ outta town with little chance of getting caught

My and my bro have a cop that waits for us outside our works parking lot at closing time.. Then follows us to our street.. All this while trying to be " sneaky " but both our cars have no cats and his type R just has a resonator, and mine an x pipe.. And needless to say sorta makes you feel special having your own cop(: almost like your own police escort haha

Didn't get pulled over but the highway patrol scared the snot out of me. I was going in the fast lane at about 75 mph (passing cars of course) and because that was the speed that the traffic was going. Then out of nowhere a highway patrol speeds on by my right scaring me going around 90 and squeezes into the space in the car in front of me. After a quarter mile or so I saw him in the slow lane weaving through traffic and pretty much tailgating. Speedster

I didn't get pulled over for this one either. It was back when I was still living in Goldsboro, NC (so some of you will know the area I'm talking about) I was on 111/williams st. headed towards HWY70 and has a cop cut in front of me to turn left into a parking lot. He was so close I almost T-boned him. After I turned onto 70 and got up to speed I was maybe an 1/8th of a mile from the on ramp and saw the cop coming up behind me whit his lights on. So I slowed down, wondering if i had done something wrong, i was doing about 40 (limit is 55 i think) he passed me going so fast, that the wind off of him passing me blew me off the road and onto the shoulder. So I sped back up to speed and about 5 seconds after that another cop blew past me even faster, so again blew me to the side, They had to be going 100+

If you weren't going 80 then you can fight it in court. Ask to see the proof of where he clocked you at 80. And idk about VA but you can do driving school to get that point off your record

Bro, you ain't winning a speeding ticket in court if you were clocked on radar or lidar. Your done for. Just ask for PBJ and be done with it.

I never fought a ticket case before, I took the punishment, but made sure I took the class so it wouldn't go against my record. And your insurance doesn't find out too

Good luck, when's the court date?

Yeah but he said he wasn't going 80, that he was going 60. I'm pretty sure that's illegal for the cop to do.
I know what you mean though. I got caught in a trap once. One highway patrol in plain sight and the other hidden behind a pillar. When the hidden one pulled me over he said he clocked me at 89 and the other dude got me at 85 and I know I was going that speed for sure so I'm not going to fight it. But if he said he clocked me at 89 and I know for a fact I wasn't going that speed I would fight it and ask for proof. The law can't lie to give you tickets and I would sue if that happened to me.

WACO BS (Bellmead, TX)

After driving a long distance ( in a 24' box truck, with dolly and van in-tow), I pulled into a motel to get a room. I find the motel booked, due to an upcoming Baylor game. Not thinking, I pulled back onto the access (frontage) road, when I realized I was going the wrong way. (Unlike service roads in Missouri, frontage roads in Texas are one-way.) But, I was already committed, and knowing I couldn't back up, I looped into the nearest motel driveway that was a measured (9 FEET) from the driveway I pulled out of. The driveways were so close together, I didn't even have room to get the truck/dolly/van straightened up in the road. I barely got the truck parked when an unmarked Crown Vic rolls up on me with grill lights flashing. Two plain-clothed black females jumped out and started reading me the riot act, which most of it was decipherable. I apologized for my mistake, then noted for them that no other traffic was affected or involved in my action and I merely looped into the next motel entrance, because I couldn't back up. Neither of them understood that tow dollys are not like trailers and cannot be backed up without jack knifing within a few feet. They continued to say I was getting a ticket for, "Wrong way on a Frontage Road." So, I sat there and waited and waited and waited... I later motioned for one of the officers to answer as to why I'm still waiting for my ticket? (20 minutes has passed.) She said, "We don't have a ticket book and are waiting for an officer (from the station) to bring one." I said, "Ok." Soon, a fat male slob cop spills out of his cruiser and joins the two females. He opens his ticket book and begins to write me up. I asked, "Hey, what are you doing?" He said, "Writing you a citation for wrong way on a frontage road." I said, "Did you see me do that?" He said, "No, but they did." (Pointing at the detectives) I asked, "How can that be legal? They said THEY saw me do that yet, YOU are writing the ticket? Why doesn't one of them write it?" He said, "They are detectives and don't carry citation books. This book of citations is assigned to me and I'm the only officer that is authorized to write out of it." I said, "So, you are going to court to witness against me, based on a ticket that YOU write for a traffic violation you didn't see happen? Isn't that exactly the same as writing a ticket based on HEAR-SAY?" He said, "They will be going to court for this citation. I won't be. Other officers usually write citations for detectives and the court accepts them." As it turned out, I refused to sign the ticket, and verbally deemed it and their court system as, "Phonies". I couldn't go all the way back to Bellmead for court (from Missouri, so I gritted my teeth and paid the $270 ticket. That equates to $30 per foot. (Between motel driveways)

Hey guys I have a question. If a minor gets stopped for speeding and gets a warning do the parents get notified? I just got stopped for the first time and the officer wrote me a warning and said if I get stopped again within a year I will get a ticket. I'm 16 but the car is in my dad's name for insurance reasons. Will the police notify my parents because I'm a minor?
