+1 as long as you're referring to American cars lol. they all have their ups and downs. I've owned 2 LT1s, 2 Ls1s, an Ls1 Vette, and a 6.0 GTO. Honestly they were all good cars. That being said, I've only owned my 5.0 for a month now, but I am beginning to pick my favorite already

As it happend, I was able to visit the Corvette Plan two times with my family......the first time was in 1990 when the ZR1 was rolling down the line being built, then again in 1993 when the 40th Vettes were being built! The 40th's were so cool because of the Ruby Red Mettalic paint and Ruby Red leather! I'll admit that while you are there they do a great job of making you a fan.......you leave the plant wanting to go buy one!!

In the same boat here and have been wanting Corvette to jump on the latest "purist 4 door" trend. Porsche paved the way with taking the 911 and stretching it out to accommodate 4 doors, Ferrari recently followed suit so my thought is why not do a Vette? Win/Win and a whole new market for them.

A friend of mine owns a few dealerships (one is Porsche). He said when the Panamarera first came out they go bashed by the "you can't do that to a 911" crowd, but quickly the bashing got replaced with praise by the "thank you, I've always wanted a 911 but need 4 doors" crowd.

I think we'd all be surprised if they took a leap of faith.

Wanted the 2013 427 vert but my wife "suggested" the Mustang because it has 4 seats. She asked "where is the kid going to sit? The vette only has 2 seats." I told her that he'd be in the passenger seat; where did she think she is going to sit.

And then I don't remember anything from the rest of that day.

I work for a Corvette restoration company selling resto parts to the big warehouses like Corvette America, Eckler, Corvette Central, etc. I kind of got forced to like them a little bit lol.

As a car they are pretty decent and the lightly modified newer ones are extremely capable cars, but the people who own them are what turns me off. Most Corvettes are bone stock and people pay a fortune to restore them that way which I would never do.

I have a good appreciation for them and have come to really like a few years of them like a 69 L88 with the "drive train wrecker" big block and 4 speed and the '65 Vette which was the only year you could get a 396 in a Corvette. I also have had a great time restomodding my Dad' s '75 with him and that car is a blast to drive.

I wouldn't say I'm a Corvette fan because I don't want to be thought of as one of the 95% of Corvette owners who think they have gods gift to the earth, but I do kind if like them. I basically just like any car with a v8 and RWD esp a 2 seater, so I can't be too judgemental lol.

We have an 03 50th anniversary edition corvette. My dad wants to pretty much keep it stock, he isn't into modding cars much. I really love corvettes though, not because of what people think but I just love the sleek look of them. When I picture an American sports car I picture a corvette (of course when I think muscle car the Mustang comes to mind). I just have this weird affection for them. I did however convince him to tint the tail lights and side markers
