Seems advisable. One of my filthy rich acquaintances from school had a mid 2000's V12 Mercedes.

Man I really wish I came from money
I have always had to work hard for what I got
Don't get me wrong, it's paid off, I'm 18 and driving a Mustang, just bought a sports bike, all of my money
However there is a kid that I used to go to school with, mommy and daddy bought him a brand-new Camaro, and he thought he was cool
Driving like he knew what he was doing, one little race(track purposes for the forum) and my mustang put him in his place, which is sad, his car had so much more to beat me with, it's like slide over, lemme show you what your mommy and daddy's money can really do

Looks like he's a sponsored racer in some local group. Sure, his name is up there and all, but I doubt it's just "his car". Still, though haha.

There were times where my parents could have paid for more, like an 06 Mustang GT, but they decided to make me work for what I have, and I plan on doing the same for my kids. I probably won't make them pay for everything because I worked 30 hours a week for 2 years on top of going to school. If I buy a new(er) car, they pay for insurance, gas, and repairs. If it is an older car I will just make them pay for gas and minor repairs. We, as in kids, need to take some responsibility and pay for things, maybe not everything because we don't get paid much. Otherwise we will have no respect for what we have.
