Not the best pic, but I thought his spoiler was a little...excessive.

I was ONLY talking about a new 5.0. read my post again then edit your reply. And as for, bang for the buck yes since 64 the Mustang is where its at. In stock form for the price nothing has a better bang!!! Opps sorry forgot about the poor mans Vette... However stock 0-60 a 2000 GT is almost a second and a half quicker than a 2000 civic SI. That is not keeping up with the GT.

Ok maybe a civic si isn't as quick, I'll admit my mistake there. For some reason I though they did mid to high 14s. But a 2000 Camaro Z/28 runs a 13.3-13.5 stock, 2000 mustang GT runs a 14.3-14.5 stock, civic SI does a 15.5 stock. So if a civic is slow compared to a mustang, then mustang is slow compared to the Camaro. This is all stock, so which of the 3 is then best bang for your buck?

And I've owned plenty of fords, Chevys, and imports. When I buy a car I get the best one available regardless of make. Which is why I choose my 14 mustang over the new Camaro and other cars available now. But to say the mustang has always been the best value isn't accurate, from mid 90s until 2011 was almost a dark age for the standard GTs.

I'm a mustang guy through and through, but until just recently, Chevy has always had the edge. That's not to say that all camaros were better cars. The faster ride isn't always the better ride, but the point here is that the mustang gt hasn't been able to compete with Chevy since the 70's. I'm not including the gt500's and cobras here. I'm talking quid for quid, pound for pound fight. The arrival of the coyote has indeed given ford a very distinct advantage!

0-60.com has a 1999 GT at 13.9 they have not tested a 2000 but I'm sure it's about the same.

The late model fox bodies dominated the same year Camaro's. Why do you think Chevy put the LT1 in the Camaro. The mustang was was kicking it's *** left and right. I owned a 89' iroc and my brothers 89' LX 5.0 notch beat me every time. Look at the price of the 94'-02' Camaro as compared to the GT's of the same years. In the beginning they cost pretty much the same but the last few years the Camaro cost about $2500 more for the Z28 and a ton more for the SS over the GT. When you say bang for the buck. It is the amount of performance you get for the cost the car. The Camaro has a high cost to performance ratio over the Mustang it's pretty much always been that way.

Lol "Vettes and Mustangs." If he puts them in the same group then you can really see what he knows about cars. And a 400+ HP Honda? I'll believe it when I see it.

Really? In person it just looked so out of place. Not anywhere near as clean looking as the GT/CS or GT500 spoiler.

Agreed. I looks almost like they threw it on as an afterthought. Doesn't match the body lines at the rear of the car.

Yep you can add it if you build one o their website. It's hideous. The Camaro needs a ducktail or nothing. It just doesn't look right with a pedestal.

Um, if you mean where Ford 1st got it, probably. The 3.7 was used in various FORD vehicles before intro to the Mustang.
