It's fun. He had a simple two pump set up. Doesn't hop to high but you can still do a 3 wheel motion although he's scared to do it a lot

It looks moronic when people do this. Never understood the fascination with it. Whatever floats your boat though.

Was on my way home from school when I came across a yellow mustang with one of these mexican professional soccer team logo on the drivers door. The team's name on the hood and side skirt (I think), and something else related to the team can't remember what though. My first thought was poor mustang! Didn't want to know how the passengers side was. Wished I could have gotten a pic for u guys to see. If I come across it again I'll try and snap one.

Every time I see someone with those lights or clear lights I just roll my eyes. The best is when I'm in my 98GT and I roll by one of the ricer SN95s in my neighborhood and get the evil eye.

That's the worst thing about SN95s/Edges these days, the rice crowd can easily afford them. Then again, half the "mods" they do will make the car slower and look like crap and it just makes my car look all that much better in comparison.

Kid at my school's bone stock (performance wise) cobalt ss. Used to run his mouth constantly about how fast his car was till i left him sitting one day leaving the parking lot. Not a bad looking car, I probably wouldn't dislike it so much if i didn't know the owner...

You mustve beat him pretty good considering he was just sitting there. Bet he thinks youre a total badass now.

I have a similar cobalt and its faster than Josers mustang.

Anyone with non-functioning vents/scoops of any kind falls into the rice category. Even if your car came with them from the factory. It is your responsibility, as a car enthusiast, to make them functional (or shut the f!ck up an own up to being a ricer). There is no difference between a big stupid trunk spoiler on a fwd civic and a hood scoop that doesn't scoop air.

I agree as well. Only hood scoop I'd get would require a new hood. The Cervini Stalker hood.

Sure about that champ? I mean, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but if you can't see a difference between an OEM, factory painted part, and an aftermarket, size of a picnic bench spoiler with a single coat of spray can primer, then I don't think your opinion holds much weight. No offense.

Well said! I must be on of those *****ty ricer boys with my factory installed non-functional wanna be hood scoop. Oh.. I also riced it ip with a set of Flowmaster Outlaws. And I have a factory installed spoiler. Man....now that I think about it, i have rice coursing through my veins.

In my opinion, "nice" is a judgement with its merit based in function. Trunk spoilers on a fwd function just as well as fake scoops on a factory Mustang. Therefore... they are both useless/rice/g@yer than AIDS/whatever terminology you may have to describe something that lacks point or purpose.

Granted, I dislike all trunk spoilers, even on rwd cars. The average driver, even the more spirited of drivers, spend so little time above 80mph that the wing isn't doing a d@mn thing most of the time. I think they make your car look like it has a shopping cart handle. I have yet to find a car with even a factory spoiler that I preferred to the same car without one. Once again, my opinion.

So, plywood picnic bench spoiler. Non-functioning factory hood scoop. Ricer.

You can still have the factory painted hood scoop and make it functional. Same with the side scoops. But if it's just for show, and not for go, that, my friend, is the definition of "rice".

In my humble opinion, Hacking up a perfectly good hood scoop to make it functional, on a stock engine such as mine, putting out a whopping 270hp to crank, is more rice than leaving it alone. No performance gains will be seen. And honestly, the small slit put into a factory hood scoop is not going to do any greater of a job cooling my engine than my outstanding factory cooling system. While I respect your opinion, and your bitter hatred towards spoilers, scoops, and faux vents, I can honestly say, the panties will continue to drop regardless of if my hood scoop is functional or not.
