Yea honestly the 6ers don't have much power. I had a 99 and it was slow as dirt but I loved that thing.

Many of those Cherokee's came with Chrysler 318's and some even had 360's. I've never been a big fan of Mopar but those two engines have always seemed to make good power.

+1 man I absolutely loved my 99 v6, but power was just not there, I used to get taken at lights by minivans and shiit ahhaha, not putting it down I loved my v6, it opened up the world of stangs to me, and honestly I wanna grab a NE v6 again soon, build it up slowly..garage queen it, and give it to my first son hahahaha, yes longgg time down the road, but its something I've always wanted to do

yea but for some reason even though our enginebid big compared to some v6 out there we so t make as much power or acceleration it's just the lack of effort ford put into the v6 but luck ally they actually tried for the new ones

What mods do you have?

Mine used to be that way but after duel exhaust and a CAI the only thing that beats me are the usual v8s and newer sports cars.

Idk why all you guys hate on these cars, you must not be taking proper care of the car and that's why it seems sluggish, I have a 8.8 with 3.73s, warm air intake, dumped glass pack and full MSD ignition, and just switched from 18 in rims to 17s my car is Wayyyy faster then it was stock, and I pull pretty decent on most cars, but I noticed keeping your fuel system clean, your air flow smooth, and ignition system sparking hot makes a night and day difference.

Plus a few good suspension mods make a world of difference in handling,

They aren't hating, Venemouz and NJstanger both had V6s and are saying that from experience. Yes they can be fast, talk to David Seifert about his 6er. But stock they are slugs.

I know they have v6 lol but they were hating on their own cars, and almost anything stock is slow, especially something that's 10 years old

My DD V6 is slow as balls, but it gets me around when I work on the other car or take long road trips..

I wasn't hating. If I was hating on my own car I wouldn't of taken care of it the way I did and modify it the way I did. I was just stating that the power want there. I did suspension, wheels, intake, tb, exhaust but it really didn't feel that much different in power. My 6 was the most reliable too which i loved about it

And a throttle body. I mean no one kills me if they have a stick ricer? I don't go looking to race people. Of course 5.0s beat me and anything bigger than my 3.8 engine should beat me but hey going down the highway no one does.

lets keep this non street racing so it doesn't get closed...also on the track i've yet to lose to a stock 5.0 fox lol. they are geared way to low and are dogs stock without some bolt ons.
