Arrested

How many members have been arrested for streets racing. What were the charges brought against you and bond?

I don't think anyone is going to admit to it on this thread but maybe in a pm lol but the penalty really matters where you live. There will be a fine for sure 500-1000 dollars. It's a misdemeanor so jail time is unlikely but still possible. And some states can impound your car and it's like a couple hundred bucks to get it out!! Oooo and they will for sure suspend your license for a year.

Lol I take it you got busted.

Penalty should be 1 yr license susp, no hardship plus fines. Will vary by area.

I busted Sat night for street racing the charges speeding, failure to signal, and racing. The first two was 500 apiece to bond out. 1000 for the racing car impounded and two notes in jail. And a mugshot.

Yeh...I would not want to pay your insurance surcharges when all this settles. Expect it to double at a minimum.

Reckless driving (which you should be charged for) is worse than a dui.

What the hell kind of website is that? Mugshot.com is that really what is used to look up public police reports down there? And I should have also stated it depends on the severity of the street racing you are doing?

Good ol JPD. Where the heck were you racing in Jackson? The roads are too horrible to do the speed limit, moreless race.

BTW...you just posted more public information than I would want publicly available. How's Byram these days? Been a while since I've been through there. I used to live in Rankin county.

It's a national database. All departments update electronically now, and it's all public information. Look up anyone you know that has been arrested, they'll be on there.

Yea I know about the databases just never seen that one before. Looks very cheap and poorly put together with all those adds and **** lol you should go to your local station and get your official report printed out so you can keep it lol

---------- Post added at 06:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:02 PM ----------

Also if you get the full one printed out you will be able to read the officers report and refer to the report when need be if it goes to trail you will need to learn everything about it.

Great job genius. If you were street racing and wrecked into my car and I had my kid in it, you would need to find your picture in obituary.com

**** happens. We all do something real stupid at least once in our life. Granted I was never arrested we all make mistakes, as long as a lesson was learned. Not trying to sound like mr. Perfect as I'm only 23 but save the racing for the track before you kill yourself or even worse take an innocent life ...

I had to get a lawery cause bond for the street racing charge head to go before a judge. Bond was 500 apiece for failure to signal 500 for speeding and 1000 for street racing. But my bond 6000 just trying to make sense of all this.

Personally, I hope they throw the book at you. Anyone that street races should not be allowed to drive for a minimum of 5 years. If you caused an accident with an inocent bystander or worse, a life, it should be a permanent ban from driving, and of course any manslaughter charges added on for a lenghty jail time.

I lost a niece because of two street racers. They felt the need to race off their college campus, one lost control, hit and killed her. She was 20 years old, held a 3.9 grade point average, and had her entire life ripped from her because two idiots felt it was a cool thing to do.

Here's the tragic part of this story: the one that killed her got off because he was impaired. He's now driving again.

I hope this thread stays open so all can see how stupid and ignorant it is to street race. Maybe you'll understand why this site, as well as many others ban street racing threads on forums.

Your lucky you did not hurt anyone. I hope a lesson was learned from your having to pay so much in fines and bonds.

You got off easy, possession of one joint is more than that here, and it can't hurt or kill anyone.

They put bond at that number so you won't skip court and the judge must have felt you were low risk 6,000 is about average.

Now if you posted bond you will get it all back once the case is over. If you used a bail bondsman he'll take a % cut.

The judge must have thought he was lower risk. If you have prior arrests or convictions then you may be seen as higher risk. It's all up to the judge

You could have $10,000 bond if the judge felt you were a huge risk.

+1000

Unfortunately, most kids don't think of the consequences when they are engaging in stupid actions. Getting arrested for wreckless driving is one thing but if you actually killed someone? Think about that. Get sent to prison and the only thing you'll be driving is Bubba's rod. In the end, you can lead a horse to water but....they never listen. This kid will be out doing the same thing again and again.

Also, think of all the upgrades you could be doing to your car instead of paying fines instead of letting us taxpayers fund your imminent incarceration..

I did it at the exit of the parking lot in the corner where no admin can see it. I left right afterwards to my friends house 2 blocks over and parked it in the garage lol. Heard some other people squealing around afterwards also.
