"If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so".

"One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws".
MLK JR.

I have no dog in the tint law fight. The old excuse was for public safety, ( which I mostly agree with ) then they changed the argument to officer safety, since most patrol cars have limo tint now.

This thread went downhill rapidly. A law in place to protect officers that have to do their job (window tint) turned into rants on crooked officers, the revolutionary war, and sending tapes to the police office. That one lost me....

The original post had to do with a fine imposed because the tint was too dark. Pay the fine, tint the windows to what your state allows. Or petition to get the law changed. Calling police "pricks" because they do their job won't get you anywhere though.

The only thing I don't understand about tint laws, specifically in PA, is if I can't get tint less than 70% on all windows (which is pointless), why can you have 20% tint as long as it came from the factory?

I could understand not wanting limo tint. I think limo tint on the windshield and front side windows could be a driving hazard but 20% isn't.

Like Florida. No safety inspection. There's 3 pickups in my neighborhood jacked up with 6 foot lift kits. I love not having inspection but stops people from traveling.
