destroy an engine?

does sand/sugar/ bleach actually kill an engine?

It's hard to "destroy" an engine. Sugar would clog it up. (Injectors, gas tank, extensive cleaning), but those parts can be replaced. A fellow forum member just found out someone poured sugar in his gas tank and it called for repairs. But, it still works after that.
