You can't go wrong with either. A ZO6 would be cheaper and pretty easy to get up to ZR1 power levels. I would look into a Porsche GT3/GT3RS or Turbo as another choice.

The thing with owing a shelby at this moment is that I will keep my mustang and i wouldn't like to have 2 stands. I would like something different.

GTR all day over a Vette. Vette is a nice car, but the GTR is a whole different monster. Godzilla! That thing is crazy, and you never see them rolling around.

Vette

If you go GTR route, better have 15-20k on hand at anytime. Maintenance is ridiculous in my opinion if you plan to drive it often.

I am planning on doing maintenance myself as much as my skills take me. I do plan to drive the new car as a daily driver. During my short research I found out the brake rotors for the zr1 are just over 2k each.

Now you change the rules. You didn't say for a DD at first. For a DD, GT with some tuning.

Do it bro, that's nice...

Did you consider German muscle too? Just that in that price range it wouldn't be as fast a ZR1 or a GTR I don't think..,

More like a used 2010-2011 M6.. just has a V10.. or you could haggle on a used 2012 M6 if you want the twin turbo V8 I'll get there one day.. GTR or ZR1 are better I think, it would just be if you like the German vehicles like me..
