You know your driving a bad a$$ foxbody when the cop see's you driving and waits till your 5 miles away to chase you down to give you a seatbelt ticket when your wearing 4-point harnesses on the street

---------- Post added at 07:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:50 PM ----------

Oh yeah n the car has a 4 point roll cage too. So naturally he looks at it hard for it being street legal

That's what I was thinking. That's more protection than stock therefore legal.

Unfortunately not, due to medical conditions restraining me. I was however raised military. Both parents are former Army.

I was doing some research, it all boils down to wether or not the manufacturer of the harness says it's DOT approved. Main factor is the state though.

Mine came with my racing seats, did not say DOT approved, they came from Andy's autosports

Well you can't win that battle brother. Most cops won't bother you if you have a harness, but then again you found the ******* of the day, haha. Why not wear both, harness and seatbelt?! Hahahah

The roll cage makes it hard to wear the regular seat belt due to it wraps around it to get to me and the entire halo is padded so I don't bump my head while goofing off

Just do a search for DOT approved harnesses. Something should pop up.

As long as it has the legal documentations that it's DOT approved then they can't do anything about it anymore lol

It fit like a glove. Still an 8.8 solid axle with disc brakes and 3:73 gears not factory but it's 31 spline. The only trick was replacing the parking brake cables and the holder attached to the bottom of the sn-95 I drilled out n weld to my car after careful placement

Ya it's ridiculous here in ontario harness are not considered safety belts I have an 8 point cage and 4 point harness you'd think that would pass
