Thanks silverS. My GT did not have one due to the 18" tires. Will order it today.

My GT didn't come w/ one either, which I was a little surprized since it's a Premium Coupe. Mine does have the 18" polished aluminum wheels, but why would that make a difference?

I know this will be too late to affect your purchase, but when I had seen one of the salesman's Mustang that had one (and this is a Ford part), it's positioned Right Over the Engine Oil Dipstick. That could've been engineered a little better. But I did find that the SR Strut Tower Brace (from American Muscle) has 2 bars that gives you a space to reach straight down to the dipstick. It also mounts on all 4 bolts on each side, which impressed me, since the whole idea is to stiffen the unibody chassis.

The brace is BBP and CS only. Premium has nothing to do with it.

the biggest block to reaching the stick is the sound tube. Yank that crap and it's no issue to get at the ds with the brace there.

Oh, I pulled that 'Sound Tube' out along time ago. What were they thinking?

Just installed the strut brace. Install took 10 minutes at most. There were a few scoffs on it but it looks brand new . Happy with the purchase and the front end feels more solid with the upper and lower braces now.

Glad you got your Brace and like it. I think it's the easiest Mod that's available, easier than the MMD Hood Strut Kit; which I appreciate Every Time I Open My Hood. Ford missed the boat when they didn't install that as "Standard Equipment".

Yea it's as good a deal as you will find any time soon. I ordered one and installed it a month ago, not quite sure why though. It is strictly an appearance item for me as I don't race or track the car. I figured it will always resell for a $100.

I already installed mine. My car came with the lower brace already and the brace made the car feel more solid on spirited turns and speedbumps. Love the look of it.

Did the Lower Brace come as part of a Factory Option? Mine is a 2013 GT Premium Coupe.

I bought it off the lot. It only had the tech package and. 3.73 gears. I was going to buy the lower brace from AM for. $50 but a reviewer said to check ur car for it first. Saved. $50.

Thanks for the 'Heads Up' on the Lower Brace, I'll have to check that out. Mine has the SelectShift automatic w/ the standard Gears and no Tech Pkg; so it may not have the Lower Brace on it.
