Just picked up my battlefield 4 copy from GameStop, and at midnight going over to walmart to pick up my ps4, my GF dad is the Head Guy at my local walmart, and we get to slip in the back door and grab one and go...so excited, have always been an xbox user, but excited for the change..

Yea I literally had my mind made up on sticking with the box, but last week did a bunch of research, and I'm more concentrated on gaming and only gaming, all the other bells and whistles I could care less about, but that's just my taste ... Never thought I'd switch to "the dark side" but in 25 minutes I'll be touching that power switch.

I like the other bells and whistles which is why I chose the box, no hate in the PS4 though. They both look good.

Ohh yea I plan on eventually owning both, have always loved Microsoft and xbox...have always loved the xbox controller, but today for the first time I held a PS4 controller in GameStop, and OMG it's the most comfortable controller I've ever held in my life haha, I've always hated the PS controller, and the PS4 looks the same, but in no way feels or sits in your hand like any other...it's just gonna be soooooo weird having to get used to the x,o,square, and triangle buttons, I'm gonna be sooooo confused hahaha...can't wait to check out the Xbox one on release too, my buddy has one he'll be picking up at midnight on launch day I'll be over there checking it out

Which is why I bought a larger controller that works for both consoles that is larger. I know it won't work for either system but I am now comfortable with the x, o, square, and triangle.

I picked mine up last night at midnight. Well it's actually for my son. It's going under the Christmas tree.

It is literally impossible to buy one right now. XB1 too. Unless you preordered it months ago, it's gonna be hard to get. I called my local GameStop and the only way to get it is if someone who preordered theirs doesn't show up by Sunday morning. Then you're allowed to take theirs.

Weird, Sony was all proud saying there would be no shortages this time around.

They may have underestimated how many they were going to sell but than again they should know by now to release a hell of a lot more then what they did in the past opening date

Also, did anyone hear about the things that happened to PS4 since release? Some peoples hardware isn't working (particularly the HDMI port) and a LOT of people can't connect to the servers. That's horrible for the first day, reminds me of the red rings of death from the Xbox 360 years ago

Yes. I also saw about half of the PS4's are DoA. Check the reviews on Amazon. Half are 5 star the other half are 1 star due to being DoA. I hope the Xbone doesn't suffer the same fate.
