EBAY FRAUD

I remember reading something about internet fraud either here or on 3.8 so maybe you guys can help me. My brother in-law won an auction that was supposed to be for a kicker amp. He paid $250 bucks for it and 2 weeks later, he got a wholesale kicker list. We looked at the auction page again, the Title was BRAND NEW 1000 WATT Kicker AMP or something like that, and the description had a picture of the amp with all the specs and a description of it. At the very bottom, in small letters it said terms and conditions do apply, actual item pictured not for sale. Auction is for Kicker wholesale list only. Is there anything we can do? He says that since he didnt read the full description he's screwed, but Im pissed. Is this **** legal?

The link to the auction doesnt work anymore, it says that its not valid any longer. I think you can only see it with my bro in-laws ebay username. Fraud sucks! If I knew were this dude lived, i guarantee all I would need is 5 minutes to get my boys money back.

How did he pay?
If it was through paypal or with a credit card he should be able to get it back.
If it was a check or money order, then you are out of luck.

There is alot of that going on on Ebay.
It sucks.

I think it was a money order. I'm not sure that there would be anything that could be done even if he paid with a credit card or paypal. Dumbass should have read the fine print

If they used a credit card notify the internet fraud unit of the credit card company. They can help.

So I tried contacting this guy to let him know what an *** he is, and when I try loging on to Ebay, it says my account has been suspended. Then, I found out my brother in-law's account got suspended too. WTF is going on here.
