Body Builders or Fit people ?

Anyone here work out ?
Just started back up last month again,

Just wanted to ask for any advice towards eating correctly.

I usually take pre-workout before , and take protein shake afterwards.

Also eating boiled eggs / chicken / veggies / water / milk / salads light dressing / peanut butter / etc. Although I don't eat completely great I cheat ..

I was at 145 now I came up to 155 from just working out and eating more.

I would like to get bigger as in mass , but still want to be cut , I already know bigger weights is for mass and lighter and more reps is for getting toned.

It's much easier to pick one for a cycle like bodybuilders do. Either cut or bulk. The diets and routines are different.

I eat 5-6 meals a day, I'm at the point where I'm trying to maintain my mass, because I'm struggling to put on right now.
Chicken
Steak(eye of round)
Fish
Brown rice
Broccoli
Zucchini
Mixed veggies
Peanut butter on rice cake for snacks
2-3 protein shakes a day
BCAA supplement
Amino acid supplement
Egg whites (lots for breakfast)
Mainly always make sure to eat breakfast, it's the most important meal of the day. And if possible eat high protein meals every 2-3 hours.
But when increasing your eating make sure you are going to the gym also or the results may not be in your favor lol.
I would recommend portioning out meals also, it just makes it easier and you are more likely to stay on track by doing so.
Before I started this I was 170lbs. I am currently a solid 205. It takes time but is WELL worth it.

Forgot to mention for what your asking (bulking) if I'm correct, I would suggest a mass gainer supplement that I took back in high school ( I took it without working out) which was a horrible idea and put on a bunch I bad weight. But the product is called mass xxx, and it will put on "good" weight if you take it, eat healthy, and workout regularly

I personally eat anywhere from 6-10 egg whites it will differ from person. To person though, also oatmeal is great. Sometimes even just a simple apple, protein pancakes, etc.

When bulking if you still eat clean and eat the right amount of protein according to your workouts you shouldn't gain much fat.

Easy way to put mass in without getting fat is eating big AND eating clean.

But you can't efficiently gain mass and be toned. You can do it but it'll be really slow. Like taking two steps forward and one step back. Easy way to do it is to bulk until you get to a goal then cut down and maintain and see if you like it.

I can't imagine being much bigger than I am currently and still be able to perform my duties as well. I value flexibility and speed as much as power and size. So I have to find a happy medium. You will have to as well

What supplements are you taking?
I personally prefer Syntha-6 because it has the best protein matrix.
proteins from there pools only have 20 types of amino acids. proteins of one or more polypeptide chains in which amino acids are strung together is unique to each kind of protein and gives rise in its unique structure, chemical behavior, and function. Talk about a good amino acid sequence!
Creatine is great for growing bulk.
I started with a 11" arm. Now I have a 15" bicep/ triceps girth LOL

I've heard No-Xplode is a great pre-workout supplement as well, planning in giving it a shot next week. As for breakfast.. everyday I eat oatmeal with raspberries, a sprinkle or brown sugar, a spoon-full of peanut butter and sometimes I mix some whey protein into it as well. If I'm really hungry I'll eat some Greek yogurt and eggs with it as well

Do any of you use IIFYM? What's you're experience with it? Does it work for you?

Also.. My fitness pal the app is a great way to track your food...

I'm so new at trying to eat what I'm supposed to .. That's such a hard part of trying to get healthy.

In the past I just barely ate and exercised like hell to get the results I wanted but .... As many of you know that doesn't work..you may loose fat but you also loose lots of muscle to then eventually .. You gain the fat back ...

... But one day I'll get there the proper way

This is what I take, I more use a mass gainer now and RTD shakes, eat a lot of fish it's much easier on your body to get the protein out of it. Also pre work out and a men's sports vitamin and creatine will help with bulking for sure

The whole 6-meals-a-day-because-it-raises-your-metabolism thing is a nutritional myth that has been debunked many times in recent years. If you're not eating 4,000+ calories a day, you don't need that many meals, and even then you might not need six, but rather four or five.

As far as training, stick to the compound movements and lift as heavy as possible and then do a deload after 4-6 weeks; progressive overload is the name of the game. And throw the steady-state cardio in the trash and do high intensity intervals. It will save you time, aid your muscle-building and fat loss, and also not impart the immunosuppressive effects of steady-state cardio.

It took me a lot of time, research, and money wasted on useless supplements to learn those time-tested truths.
