Is it just me or does it seem like the death of Paul Walker has gotten more attention, not just by the media but by car enthusiast vs. Carol Shelby's death?
I know Wallers death was sudden and tragic but
I think even Paul Walker would be like, wtf? Lol.

Carol Shelby's health was on the decline for some time, so when he passed away, it was not as dramatic as Paul Walker's crash and death. A sudden crash verses a health issue causing death would be more dramatic, as the crash was avoidable over a pending health issue.

Either way, two great losses to the automotive hobby. One was avoidable though.

The latest I heard this morning on the radio is that they found traces of fluid trailing up to the crash site. They think it might be power steering fluid.

Coupled with it being a Porsche and going double, maybe triple the limit, makes a recipe for disaster

Not in Cali usually. The only reason they would change is if you get custom ones.

And maybe it's not the same car they got in. Both roger and Paul owned the same Porsche me thinks

Glad I didn't disappoint.

It's sad someone died but it happens every second. No different from anyone else.

That's fake. It's a weak *** staging job too. The back ground doesn't even remotely look like the scene on the accident.

Saw a video on CNN that said he died from the impact, not fire. He had a whole minute to get out of the car until it bursted into flames.

I saw a security video where off to the side, you can see the force of the impact. It's no doubt he probably died or was rendered unconscious. The car burst into flames seconds after the impact. I'll try to find it.

The video is sped up super fast and makes it look like the car instantly caught fire when it didnt. Either way, RIP Mr. Walker

Indeed it was sped up. I don't really buy mechanical failure as a reason for the crash. They posted pictures of skid marks, like someone doing a couple of 180's and say that they may have been drag racing. I don't buy that either. But it could be possible that there was another car and maybe the two were screwing around and the driver lost control trying to avoid hitting the other car? We'll probably never know the truth.
