Who else cleaned up on Cyber Monday?

Got over $400 worth of stuff for $250 shipped via Newegg.

-Powercolor Radeon 7850HD 2 gig ram 256 bit. Was $200, got it for $140 plus another $30 off via mail in rebate

-Vertex 120 gig SSD (swapping with the 2 month old AData 256 gig unit in my laptop). Was $130, got it for $80

-Microsoft Sidewinder Keyboard. Was $60, got it for $30

-Gigabyte gaming mouse, was $20, got it for $15.

Getting my circa 2010 gaming tower back up to spec. SSD and better card is all I really need. I built it to be as futureproof as possible for a computer. Already has 8 gigs of DDR1333 which is more than enough since no games use more than 4. Processor is a 6 core Phenom II Thuban that has run nice and cool and stock at 2.8ghz all this time so I'm going to stretch its legs and crank it up 1000mhz once the new stuff goes in.

I am le excited.

Lol I've had that happen twice, once when I was in Germany... good thing I had the Gov't Travel Card or I'd have been shafted...

I'm guessing you bought way more than $400 if they locked your card haha.

Go to local flea markets and look for broken craftsman stuff. Its like 10 cents a socket from the ppl I've seen. Get all you want and take it to Sears and get all brand new sockets. Totally legal since Craftsman liftetime warranties any tool no questions asked.

My Father in Law did that. Dropped out of HS actually, went to work for Honda and got his GED in the meantime. He clears $90k per year as a master tech 30 years later although he claims in that time period he's probably spent $100k on Snap On tools.
